本课是人民教育出版社出版的《英语(一年起点)》四年级下册,第一单元的内容。本单元的主题是My neighborhood,学习内容是谈论街区内的场所的位置与功能,运用核心语言进行问路与指路。本课为Fun Time,新授内容是词汇drugstore, hairdresser’s, coffee shop和gas station及正确描述某个公共场所的功能。
本节课的核心内容是描述街区内的公共场所。通过创设胡巴找爸爸妈妈的情境,设置三个任务,在任务中学习四个场所的功能表述,并为胡巴指路,帮助胡巴找到了爸爸妈妈。最后的小组活动中,学生为胡巴一家设计了街区,邀请他们来自己的街区住。在学习场所时拓展了中西方文化,如最贵的猫屎咖啡,杭州的无人加油站,中西方药店的差别等。本课借助游戏、视频、音频、歌曲,歌谣等教学手段呈现、操练、巩固词句,进一步帮助学生理解和运用核心语言。
学情分析
四年级学生活泼好动,求知欲强。喜欢直观形象思维,对歌曲、游戏、歌谣等特别感兴趣。他们已经学习英语三年多了,有一定的英语基础。语言知识技能方面,学生之前已经学习过一些表示场所的单词,如park, hospital, bookshop, school, supermarket, museum等,能用You can...谈论自己能做的事情,为本单元的学习做了一定量的准备。但是,因为学生们是初次接触问路与指路,所以本课设计了胡巴找爸爸妈妈的情境,及有丰富有趣的教学活动和教学任务来帮助学生理解、运用目标语言。

教学基本策略及设计思路
本课是基于语言学习的实践性和应用性的理念设计的,为学生创设符合其年龄特点的真实语境,通过完成三个任务,帮助胡巴找到爸爸妈妈,将这一情境贯穿学习始终。在帮助胡巴的过程中学习四个场所的单词和该场所的功能,使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中接触、体验和理解真实语言,最后,小组内为胡巴一家设计街区并邀请他们加入到自己的街区来,在此基础上学习和运用语言谈论计划要做的事情;
本课又是基于学生的学情和认知水平设计的,围绕学生熟知、喜爱的卡通人物胡巴展开话题,教学中多次运用歌曲童谣、视频、照片、多媒体等丰富的课程资源,提供贴近学生,贴近生活,贴近时代的英语学习资源,拓展学生学习和运用英语的渠道,激发了学生的学习兴趣;
本课还是基于培养学生认知策略的理念设计的,通过丰富有效的课堂活动,由浅入深,循序渐进地进行语篇的输出,有效地提高学生的听、说、读、写和语言综合运用的整体能力;
本课也是基于教材内容上的文化内涵和情感递进过程设计的,在教学过程中,潜移默化地渗透了外国的咖啡文化,中国本土的无人加油站,中西方药店的差别,拓宽了学生们的视野。提高了学生学习外语和外国文化的兴趣,让学生了解中西方的文化差异,提高跨文化交际能力和跨文化意识。
本课在整个教学过程中运用了丰富多样的教学策略来启发、引导学生掌握本节课的学习内容,进行文化与情感的渗透。本课开头采用了导入策略,以歌曲复习旧知,以胡巴找家人为主线,激发学生兴趣,教师通过设计了三个任务,在猜一猜的活动中运用指路的句型,引出新授单词。这样的导入方式,体现了趣味性与实效性。在教学过程中,采用认知策略,借助对话、游戏、视频、听音选择,歌曲童谣等多种手段,培养学生的认知策略,鼓励学生发现、运用英语发音规律及语音语调的特点,逐步掌握英语知识和技能,不断调整情感态度,发展自主学习能力。采用交际策略,学生在小组中学习倾听、参与活动,积极表达自己的想法。达成真实任务下的语用交流;在综合语言运用的环节中,采用合作策略,学生在小组活动中可以运用已有知识互相补充,相互学习,选择合适的场所图片设计街区,使语言的输出最大化,并能使每个学生得到发展,共同进步。从而激发学生学习英语的积极性,增强自信心。

◇多媒体课件资源
运用多媒体课件整体设计胡巴找家人的课件,如猜一猜的环节用胡巴在街区行走的图片,进行新授导入;三个任务的设计和完成任务获得的礼物,是对学生的激励;在学习场所功能时运用了图片、听音等方式进行巩固操练。在综合语言运用环节,运用图片文字对学生的语言输出进行了提示和辅助,最后用超链接让胡巴选择自己喜欢的社区,同时还激发了学生的学习兴趣和积极性。

开篇播放本课的视频歌曲,复习了问路和指路的句型,同时为课堂激趣。学习加油站时,播放一段杭州无人加油站的视频,帮助学生了解无人加油站的信息,拓宽学生的视野。用了电影里胡巴发烧的视频,引出药店单词,力求情境真实。胡巴一家团聚时也用到了电影了的视频,使情境更完整,情感升华更真实、更感人。提供有利于学生观察、理解的真实语境,更好地使学生感知、体验和理解外语及外国文化。

本课运用了多个歌曲贯穿课堂始终,有胡巴找家人的情境歌曲,还有问胡巴指到公园路线的歌曲,最后是一首love my family, love my neighborhood的情感升华的歌曲,让学生浸润在美妙的英语学习中,为学生创造了良好的学习氛围。运用了音频chant梳理了本课学习四个场所及功能,帮助学生巩固所学。还设计了听音选择和听音回答问题的活动,培养了学生的英语听力。

依据课程标准,在学生学习活动中,教师采用多样化的评价形式和内容,科学、合理的评价方式和方法,对学生学习的过程和结果进行及时、有效地评价与监控,以起到对教学的积极导向作用。我在学生学习活动中采用以下评价方式
1.关注课堂教学的形成性评价:课堂教学活动中,教师借助丰富的肢体语言,如微笑、竖大拇指、拍手鼓励等即时评价学生的表现,树立学生学习自信心,鼓励学生大胆开口说英语。在师生、生生交流时,教师用鼓励性的语言,如great, good job, well done等激励学生大胆思考,积极表达自己的观点和想法。
2.在学习过程中,对积极发言和进步的学生给予粘贴的奖励,在课堂最后环节进行总结,小组中获得粘贴最多的组得到礼物,提高学生参与的积极性。
3.在语言输出环节巧设评价:在小组合作为胡巴一家设计街区好后,利用胡巴选择自己喜欢的街区,巧妙地为学生们的作品和英语表述做出评价。并把胡巴玩偶作为礼物送给该组,提高学生们的学习兴趣。
