教材分析
本课是人民教育出版社出版的《新起点英语》四年级下册第二单元的内容。本单元教学主题突出,围绕“城市”这一主题展开,学习内容是城市中常见的场所类和活动类单词,并在情境中使用它们,以及去某地乘坐何种交通工具的功能句,教学内容设计合理,循序渐进。与本模块相关的城市场所类单词在二年级的教材中都有涉及。围绕学生生活中常去的地点展开,贴近学生的生活与经历。知识的学习采用螺旋式上升的结构体系,并逐渐提高宽度和深度,符合学生的认知规律,也有助于学生掌握知识。
本课时的主题是《Cities》Fun Time,是对于本单元主题的拓展,学习内容是能够借助图片读懂关于国外特色城市的介绍。涉及的核心出行工具单词在上册中均有接触。此外,本课时的内容也紧密联系了第一单元的内容,既相关又延伸,这也体现了英语学科语言学习的循序渐进性。
学情分析
一方面,四年级学生已经有了一定的英语基础,能够运用一些简单的句型描述事物,学生在一二年级已经学过句型“It’s a/ an…”三四年级已经学过一些形容词old, beautiful, warm, great等等以及句型“You can see…/ You can…”为本课的学习做了一定的铺垫,但语言的综合语言能力是一大难点;另一反面,四年级学生注意力还不够稳定、不够持久,难于长时间地注意同一件事物,容易为一些新奇刺激的事物所吸引,所以他们对课件里的动画和能动发生的教具更感兴趣。
本课我设计了一个真实的语境,围绕快递员Jett送快递展开,知识的呈现由易到难,有梯度的展开,逐渐增加语量的输入,通过一些动画视频、音效及chant、歌谣来抓住孩子的注意力。
教学目标
◇ 语言知识目标
1.在语境中学习、理解词汇Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London。
2.读懂、理解本课三个国外特色城市以及中国的一些特色城市。
◇ 语言技能目标
能结合新旧知识,综合运用语言来描述中国的特色城市以及三个国外特色城市。
◇ 学习策略目标
通过本课设计的活动对学生的认知策略(听的策略、说的策略、阅读策略和写作策略)进行指导,以及培养学生在活动中用英语与他人交流的交际策略。
◇ 情感态度目标
通过三个城市的了解,能够懂得“绿色出行”的意义。
◇ 文化意识目标
让学生更多的了解了我们中国的文化的同时,还要推广我们的中国文化。
教学重点及难点
◇ 教学重点
1.能正确地理解、读懂有关三个国外特色城市的介绍。
2.能综合运用语言对中国的特色城市进行描述。

正确使用一般现在时的动词单数第三人称形式描述事情。
教学基本策略及设计思路
本课是基于语言学习的实践性和应用性,针对学生的年龄特点设计的,为学生创设了真实的语境,使学生在语境中,体验、理解并习得和运用语言。教学中运用动画视频、音效、歌谣、chant、图片、多媒体课件等丰富教学资源,呈现教学内容,不仅拓宽了学生学习和运用英语的渠道,还激发了学生的学习兴趣。本课还是基于培养学生综合运用语言的能力的理念而设计的,通过丰富有效的课堂教学活动,由易到难,循序渐进、有梯度的增加语言的输入,由此进行有梯度的语篇的输出。到分段学习重点词组,阅读整篇故事,再到拓展续写故事,进行文本再构,有效地提高学生的听、说、读、写和语言综合运用的整体能力。本课也是基于教材教学主题的文化内涵设计的,让学生了解外国文化的同时,不忘推广中国文化。让学生懂得绿色出行的意义。
根据以上设计思路,我采用了阅读策略,通过阅读文本,让学生回答问题,培养学生的与独立街能力。采用交际策略,学生在小组中互动中,学习倾听、参与活动,互相配合,表达自己的观点。采用资源策略,通过课外动画片视频资料的搜集,为学生呈现新的文本,增加学生的语言输入量,为语用输出做好铺垫。采用写作策略,通过有层次、有梯度的语言输出,为学生的综合运用语言来描述城市奠定基础。
资源的开发及说明
多媒体课件资源:
通过多媒体课件设计Jett的飞行模式,音效来增加人物活动的真实性,更具有趣味性。通过多媒体课件制作出手机翻看照片和视频的效果,让情境更加真实。
视频资源:
截取动画片《超级飞侠》的片段并播放,将学生带入情境,牢牢的抓住学生的注意力,利于真实语境的创设。
人物学习单资源:
利用教师提供的学习单,学生能够阅读文本,并通过有梯度的语言输出,形成由句到语篇的综合语言运用。

猜城市的环节除了让学生练习句welcome
to…之外,也让孩子对逐渐输出的语篇再
次整体巩固操练,带动学生齐读,为接下来描述城市做一个铺垫。
将教材知识延伸,为孩子的输出储备更多
的语言与知识。
让学生更多的了解自己国家的文化,并因此而感到自豪。
通过对语言的逐步积累,以及知识的扩充延伸,培养了学生对语言的综合运用能力。
输出环节的设计旨在培养孩子对语言的综合运用能力。前面已经做了很多的铺垫,体现了学习知识的层次性和有梯度性。

学生学习活动评价设计
依据课程标准,在学生学习活动中,我注重评价的多元化,评价方式的多样化。在学生学习活动中采用以下评价方式:
1. 在课堂教学过程中,通过语言对学生的学习情况即时评价,评价语言的不同更能调动孩子的积极性,鼓励学生积极主动的学习,帮助学生树立学习自信心。
2. 在教学过程中,回答最多问题的同学可以得到一个书签,书签不仅单纯作为评价,还可以作为学习语言输出的扩充。
