A Let’s learn
一、教材分析
本课时是PEP小学英语五年级下册Unit3 的第二课时，主要是让学生会读，会说，会写1-6月单词，以及在每个月份里的节日，且都是围绕“When is……?” “It’s in……”展开教学活动的。 在这种情形下，我采用在反复操练对话中熟悉单词和句型.
教学目标
知识与技能目标
1．能听、说、读、写1-6月份的名称。
2．能听、说、认读短语Tree Planting Day，Children’s Day ，singing contest ，school trip ，sports meet ，Easter party，May Day，Winter vacation，New Year’s Day, Mother's Day, Father’s Day.
3.能听说认读句型：When is Tree Planting Day? It’s in March.以及在真实的情境中去熟练运用这些句型。
过程与方法目标
通过反复操练单词及句型，在学生掌握所学月份和词组的情况下，能熟练运用句型“When is……?” “It’s in……”去用于日常交流。
情感态度与价值观
创设学习情境，激发学生学习的热情和兴趣，提高学生学习的积极性和主动性，引导学生了解中西方共有的或特有的节日和风俗。
三、教学重难点
重点：能听、说、读、写1-6月份的名称。
难点：在真实的情境中去熟练运用这些单词和句型。
突破方法：通过听录音与反复诵读，学生小组合作交流，创设学习情境，在真实的情境中去熟练运用这些句型等方法突破重难点。
四、教学方法
（1）月份与月份所在的节日，以及句型“When is……?” “It’s in……”的话题源自生活，立足这一点，我充分利用学生已有的知识和生活经验，创设生活化的真实情境（或半真实情境）引导学生对月份及节日进行学习。
（2）开展多种类型的任务型活动，提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间，促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作，为完成任务进行探究性学习。
五、教具准备
多媒体课件，视频动画。
六、教学过程：
Step 1.Warming-up
Let’s sing：The twelve months..
Lead in the title
3. Free talk
T: There are twelve months in a year ,today we will learn the names of the year. Do you know the first month of the year?
Step 2.Presentation
1. Let’s learn
1) Learn the new words：January, February, March, April, May. June
T：January January read it please.
S：Read after teacher
2）出示节日New Year’s Day
T: Make a sentence: New Year’s Day is in January.
S：Read after teacher
（同样的方法教其他单词）引导学生自己说出句子如：February,February,Winter vacation is in February ,When is winter vacation? It’s in February, .
4）引导学生找出1---6月份中的节日及自己能用英文读出的名称，如：Children’s Day 等。
T：When is Tree Planting Day ? S： It’s in March.
T：When is Children’s Day? S：It’s in June. …………….
S: Children’s is in June. Father’s Day is in June, too.

（1） Listen to the tape (let’s learn)
（2）Read after the computer：read the new words and the phrases.
Step3.Consolidation and extension
(1)Groupwork：四人一小组，认读、记住所学单词
(2)Game：打地鼠（Read the words quickly).
（3）Read and say
找学生回答判断正误，并把错误的句子改正，并给出正确句型。
（4））学习新句型：-When is Tree planting Day?
-It’s in March.
Step 4.Practice
合作交流：
1）小组合作：ppt呈现典型图片，鼓励学生分组讨论。分别用When is …? S：It’s in … 造句。
2)两人交流对话： When is May Day? S：It’s in May. …………..
翻译
出示幻灯片，展示词组的汉语意思，让学生翻译成英语。
Step5. Homework
抄写Let’s learn 部分的单词和词组。
预习Let’s spell.
