Introduction to noun clausesAt lunch, the weatherman reported that the mist would become a thick fog in the afternoon.
She wondered if the buses would still be running.

What surprised me most was that the old man couldn’t see anything. Introduction to noun clausesBecause the clauses in these sentences have the same fun_ction as nouns or noun phrases, they are called noun clauses.
