lesson

textbook
I
will

it
offers
ample
language
input
covering
a
wide
range
of
subjects.
The
topics
are
well
organized
focusing
on
the
students’
need.
What
I’m
going
to
teach
is
the
first
period
of
Unit
8“We’re
twins!”.
The
topic
is
about
family
members
and
getting
to
know
other
people.
My
presentation
will
be
divided
into
three
sections:
Teaching
Objectives,
Teaching
Methods
and
Teaching
Procedures.
The
students
are
from
Grade
Three,
they
have
already
been
learning
English
for
two
and
a
half
years.
According
to
their
knowledge
of
English,
the
teaching
contents
of
this
lesson
and
also
the
new
curriculum
standards,
my
teaching
objectives
will
contain
these
three
parts.

we

purpose
of

interest

cultivate
their
sense
of

Also,
for
better
communication
with
others.
So
in
this
lesson
I’ll
adopt
the
Task-based
teaching
Method,
The
Situational
Teaching
Method
and
The
Communicative
Approach.
I
will
also
adopt
The
Humanist
Approach
to
make
the
learning
experience
as
enjoyable
as
possible
for
my
students,
They
will
be
encouraged
to
produce
in
the
target
language.
Students
will
be
divided
into
several
groups,
so
that
they
can
study
in
a
relaxing
and
agreeable
atmosphere.
Meanwhile,
making
use
of
the
modern
teaching
equipment
like
Powerpoint,
this
lesson
will
possibly
be
more
lively
and
interesting.

Now
I’ll
mainly
talk
about
my
teaching
procedures.
To
sum
up,
I’ll
finish
this
lesson
in
these
steps.
Step
1
Lead
in
Before
the
lesson,
I
will
play
a
five-minute-video
in
which
there
are
lots
of
pictures
of
twins
all
around
the
world.
So
that
the
title
will
be
brought
out
quite
naturally.
Then
there
will
be
a
guessing
game
called
“Guess
who
is
he/she”,
I
will
present
some
students’
photos
on
PPT
and
let
them
guess.
They’ll
be
very
happy
to
see
their
own
classmates
pictures
being
presented
there,
so
that
their
motivation
will
be
increased
immediately.
This
kind
of
opening
is
less
serious
and
more
relaxing,
and
will
perhaps
bring
us
closer.
The
relationship
between
the
teacher
and
the
students
will
always
have
an
important
effect
on
the
students’
learning.
Also,
while
playing
the
guessing
game,
its
like
a
revision
of
the
old
knowledge.

2
Presentation
and
practice
After
the
warm-up
activity,
we
will
move
on
to
the
next
stage.
Actually
this
stage
conbines
both
new
knowledge
learning
and
practice
together.
By
showing
them
my
own
family
photo,
we
will
review
the
titles
including
“aunt”
and
“uncle”.
Then
they
will
practice
this
sentence
pattern.
This
is
not
difficult
however,
the
difficult
point
is
to
combine
these
two
sentences
together
for
them
to
practice.
They
will
do
pair
work
by
showing
their
own
family
photos
to
each
other.
During
the
pair
work,
cooperative
learning
will
be
achieved
and
the
authentic
situation
will
be
set
up,
so
we
will
probably
get
a
breakthrough
on
the
difficult
point.
Another
difficult
point
in
this
lesson
is
this
sentence
pattern.
Intending
to
lower
the
difficulty
and
stimulate
their
interest,
I
will
present
my
own
picture
when
I
was
seven
years
old,
and
I’ll
ask
them
“Who
is
that
girl ”
Some
of
their
teachers’
pictures
will

presented
as
well.
During
this

better
to

attention

teach

make

like

As
to

the

“baby”,
we
will
all
“go
on
board
a
time
machine”
by
watching
a
video
that
shows
an
old
guy
turn
back
to
a
baby
within
40
seconds.
It
is
quite
hilarious
to
watch
a
video
like
that.
I
will
expand
to
teach
them
some
baby
animals.
Later
I
will
show
this
series
of
pictures
to
them,
see
how
a
baby
grows
up
to
be
a
girl
then
become
a
woman,
at
the
same
time
her
father
is
also
growing
old.
My
purpose
is
to
let
them
learn
to
care
more
about
the
parents.

Story
time
The
next
step
is
to
learn
the
dialogues
in
“story
time”.
I
will
come
up
with
these
questions
and
play
the
video.
To
watch
the
video
while
thinking
about
the
questions
can
make
them
more
focused
on
the
language.
Then
I’ll
play
the
tape
recorder
to
let
them
imitate
the
intonation.
I
will
show
sentences
with
notes
like
this.
There
is
no
way
of
learning
a
language
well
other
than
with
abundant
practice.
Since
we
know
that
making
students
read
and
repeat
over
and
over
again
would
be
very
boring,
reading
in
different
roles
could
be
more
effective.

In

to

is

very
important.
The

of

lesson
is
about

which

topic.
I
will

them

the

will
take
them
to

will

about

in

To

I've
designed
a
short

end,

them

About
homework,
I
will
make
it
like
having
supper.
The
more
you
eat,
the
much
healthier
you
will
be.
The
“rice
homework”
is
compulsory,
after
eating
the
rice,
then
they
can
choose
to
eat
the
fruit,
then
dessert.
The
reason
why
I
design
like
this
is
to
encourage
students
in
different
learning
levels
to
choose
what
they
want
to
do.
Thus
they

more
likely
to
get

sense

achievement.
At
last
I
