教学内容及学生情况分析:
Background of English teaching in primary school:
It has been more than half a year when English is as a subject in primary school. One of the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of their listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Our boys and girls are exposed to English for the first time, so it is very important to develop their keen interest in English.
1. The analysis of the pupils:
1) Characteristics of English learning: The students are all at the age of six to seven. They are in Grade One. According to the age, they are still very young kids, the ability of logical analysis and remembering is still very weak. Therefore, in order to help them to learn English(including learning to listen, say, speak and write), we need to set up the context to stimulate their senses of listening, seeing, and then train their abilities of saying, speaking and writing. This is the characteristic of their English learning.

The learning skills they master:
Read and spell the words; Say the simple sentences; Do the actions according to the instructions; Ask and answer simple questions.
2. The analysis of the text book:
In this unit, the pupils will learn some activities names. The new words are: ride, skip, play, fly, etc. The main point of teaching is to learn these new words with the patterns they have learnt, such as “What can you do? I can…, please. etc”. And the difficult point is to pronounce the new words correctly and use the sentence patterns to practice the new words fluently.

3. The analysis of the teaching aims:
I believe that teaching aim should be the soul of teaching. If the aim is not clear enough, we can’t design the teaching procedures precisely. Thus students can’t master the main points of the unit well. In this unit, I have several aims as follow:
(1)Learning aims:
a. Learn new words, including: ride, skip, play, fly, etc.
b. Pattern’s learning:
What can you do? I can… etc
(2) Skills training aims:
a. Listening: Pupils can understand what I say and give the correct response.
b. Speaking: Pupils can speak the new words and the patterns in Part A and B correctly.
c. Saying: Pupils can use the patterns in Part A and B to make sentences with other words they have learnt.
d. Writing: Pupils can do all kinds of exercises accordingly.
(3) Sensitive aims:
Make the students realize to “Do some physical exercises every day to keep healthy.”
4. The analysis of the teaching methods and CAI methods:
Teaching methods: Communicative method; Discussing method;
Seeing and hearing method
With half a year learning, some of the pupils knew some vowels, so, I will teach the new words with the sounds. And, in order to help the pupils to understand the patterns easily, I will use the courseware to show different pictures of the objects to set up the context, and I will set up several games to stimulate their senses of learning, make them learn the new materials in the funny circumstance. The games include: Look and guess; Speak out and hold up; Say and stick; etc.

b. Activity 2 Let’s talk 学生看图提示完成句子
c. Activity 3. Let’s chant 拓展词组play basketball, play baseball。
d. Activity 4. Let’s talk 学生根据图片提示进行头脑风暴。What can fly?
3) Let’s act 老师做动作,学生猜测。如 T: What can I do? Ss: fly a kite或生生之间进行练习。
4) Let’s match 练习动词词组的搭配,如read, read, read a book

1) Let’s listen 教师朗读文本,介绍四个朋友,如: Look! I have four good friends. This is Eddie. He can ride a bicycle.
2) Let’s talk 以check questions的形式初步学习新句型。

4. Post-task:

2) Ask and answer 学生自由结对问答,如 Sa: What can Ann do? Sb: She can draw a picture.
3) Let’s chant 学生可以新旧结合,创编更多的chant
4) Draw and talk 画画说说,用三句或更多句话来简单介绍自己的朋友。
