一、学情分析
学生对教材上的单词基本能做到听、说、读以及观察;句型能听、说以及运用;大部分学生能进行基本的日常用语交流与对话。 这个时期的学生活泼好动,喜欢模仿,爱表现自己,对英语学习有很浓的兴趣,能将所学的英语运用到生活情景中。但他们在学习方法和策略上还有所欠缺,所以教学中要根据学生情况,创设情景,设计游戏活动和小组合作完成任务等教学活动引导学生学习。
二、教材分析
本课主要通过观察动物特征以及动物图片来教学以下:giraffe, snake, elephant, zebra,并且学会运用词与句。动物类的单词学生已经学过一些,用单数形式来描述动物,因此,教学中通过What is it? It is …与What are they? They are … 单复数的比较,让学生牢固掌握句型,所以学习复数What are they? They are …作简短的对话作为本单元的重点。
三、习得目标
1、语言知识目标:学生能够听读、认识理解以及运用本单元核心词汇:giraffe, snake, elephant, zebra。
2、语言技能目标:学生能听说并运用 “What are they?” 这一句型去询问他人喜爱的动物,并且学会回答 “They are …”。
3、情感态度目标:培养学生爱护动物的良好习惯。

2、通过师生问答引出课题,出示遮盖了身体某部位的动物图片,让学生猜一猜是什么动物。
3、提问:Do you know where can we see these animals? Do you like animals?引出本课主题。

2、看图片猜动物,学生单个进行回答。

1、⑴让学生猜测第一种动物。
⑵就长颈鹿的颜色、身高以及数量等提问。What color are they? How many giraffes can you see?引出复数的学习。
⑶用一首chant来教授生词giraffe。

2、⑴让学生猜测Eddie和Kitty最喜爱的动物。
⑵用一首学过的歌曲伴奏来教授生词zebra。

⑶就歌曲中描述斑马的内容来提问。What can they do? How many zebras can you see?引出复数的学习。
3、⑴听声音,让学生猜动物。
⑵就大象的颜色、身高以及数量等提问。What color are they? How many elephants can you see?引出复数的学习。
⑶用一首chant来教授生词elephant。

4、⑴出示谜语,让学生猜动物。
⑵通过对蛇的学习,讨论是否喜欢蛇,Do you like snakes?从而引出Eddie和Kitty对蛇的不喜爱,引出frightening一词。
⑶用一首耳熟能详的歌曲来教授生词snake。

1、设置情景一:Eddie 和 Kitty一起参观动物园。长颈鹿长得很高,Eddie只能看到脚,看不到头,运用句型合理提问。同时,这里学习核心词汇giraffe,并且学习新句型What are they? They are_____.
2、设置情景二:Eddie和Kitty继续参观动物园,来到了第二站,在这里看到了它们最喜欢的动物,出示谜语让学生猜他们最爱的动物,运用句型合理提问。同时,学习核心词汇zebra,并且复习与巩固句型What are they? They are____.
3、设置情景三:Eddie和Kitty第三站听见动物的声音,但未见到动物,提问:What are they?同时,学习核心词汇elephant,通过声音猜测,复习以前学过的句型,并复习和巩固句型What are they? They are____.
4、设置情景四:通过Eddie出的字谜来猜测动物,学习核心词汇snake,并复习和巩固句型What are they? They are____.并最后引出Eddie和Kitty害怕蛇,结束动物园的参观。
