① across 介词.
The post office is just across from the club.

② cross v. 穿过，横穿

它距离这不很远（做表语）
far adj. “远的”，可指距离的远,也可指时间的远,在句中可作定语或表语,作表语时,常与from连用。
far = far away (其后不加名词）
She lives far away. 她住的很远。（做状语）
far from +n = far away from + n 离···很远
She lives far away from the school.(做状语）
My house is far away from the school.（做表语）
far不与kilometre等表示确切距离的词语连用。
The station is two kilometers away from here.
