be born 意为“出生于”，后接地点时常用介词in；接某年或某月用介词in，接具体某天用介词on，后接时刻用介词at。“出生于”属于过去的动作，故be要用was或were。如：

贝蒂出生在纽约。

friendly 意为“友好的”，是名词friend的形容词形式。
be friendly to sb. = be kind to 对某人友好

Practise
“What be+某人+like?”更多的是询问某人的品质、性格等内在的东西。
“What does+某人+look like?”用来询问某人的外貌。
