in是介词，意思是“在（一段时间）之后”。常用于将来时。用于过去时表示“在（一段时间）内 ”。

聚会比一个世界纪录更为重要。
more important 是比较级，表示“更重要”。当我们需要对事物作出比较时，需要用到比较级。
比较级的句子结构通常是：
什么 + 动词be (am , is , are ) + 形容词比较级 + than（比）+ 什么。
eg： I’m taller and heavier than you. 我比你更高和更重。形容词的比较级的规则变化：不规则变化：形容词比较级的用法：
表示一方超过另一方时，用“形容词的比较级+than”结构。
It is colder today than (it was) yesterday.今天天气比昨天冷。
The sun is bigger than the earth.太阳比地球大。
形容词的比较级前可加程度副词(much, far, a lot, a little, even, still等)或用数量词组修饰，表示“……得多”“甚至……” “更……”。
China is much larger than Japan.中国比日本大得多。
My mother is two years older than my father.我母亲比我父亲大两岁。(2) 形容词的比较级前可用表示倍数的词组修饰。
This bridge is three times longer than that one.这座桥比那座桥长三倍。
(3) 形容词比较级要避免与自身进行比较，要用”比较级+than any other+单数可数名词”来表示“比其他的任何……都……”
Lin Tao is older than any other student in the class.
林涛比班上其他任何同学的年龄都大。
若不在同一范围内比较，则不用other。
Shanghai is larger than any city in Japan.
(4) 带形容词的比较级的惯用结构：“比较级+and+比较级” 和“more and more+形容词”，意为“越来越……”;“the+比较级, the +比较级”意为“越……, 越……”。
The city is becoming more and more beautiful.这座城市正变得越来越美丽。
He ran faster and faster.他跑得越来越快。
The harder he tried, the less progress he seemed to make.
