“Who are you?” asked the Faun, looking very surprised. “My name is Lucy. Where am I?” The Faun told Lucy that she was in Narnia and invited her to come to his house for a cup of tea. He seemed very kind and so Lucy accepted the invitation and they walked through the trees, under the Faun’s umbrella, to his house. There was snow on all the branches of the trees and it was still very cold. The Faun’s house was in the wood, and was very warm and comfortable. They came in through a wooden door into a low room which had walls made of earth and branches under the ceiling. There was a bookcase full of books and a cupboard with plates and cups on it. The Faun made some tea and gave Lucy some cake. Then they sat down in two comfortable armchairs by the fire while the Faun told Lucy all about Narnia.
