Should Shanghai bid for(申办) the Summer Olympics in 2028? Here are some people’s opinions.
Some people said, “The games will improve Shanghai’s global influence and the city is powerful and must try to become a platform(平台) for major international dialogues.43. Shanghai has succeeded in holding the World Expo in 2010 and the city can also hold a successful Summer Olympics.” Others, however, are not sure that it’s a good idea. They think the Olympics would be too expensive and the money could be better spent on other things.44.The 2008 Beijing Olympics brought much prestige(声望) to the city and to China, but its cost, over $40 million, was high and the Olympic site(场地) in the center of the city is now largely unused. There are many things you can do to improve your memory. Among them are many kinds of useful ways as well as taking special care of your health.[来源:zz*step.co#~@m&]
It is important that you make yourself excited to make your memory more active. You can do this by doing some new activities and by changing your daily habits. Learning a new skill helps your brain (大脑) to develop. When trying to remember something, you should pay special attention to the most important things about it. Do not allow other thoughts to enter your mind because this will reduce your chances of making right memories.
An excellent way to help memory is to connect information with pictures. Try to see the pictures in your mind. Taking notes and keeping a diary will also be helpful.[来源:中国教&育%#出版^网@]
Healthy food and plenty of vitamins are necessary for your memory to work well. Drinking a lot of water also helps keep your memory. You must allow your brain to have enough sleep and rest. When you are asleep, your brain stores memory. Not enough sleep can cause problems with storing information. And being tired will also stop you from being able to think clearly and well.
In order to keep your mind on your work, you must be free from worry. Generally keeping fit and normal health checks are both important as well—not just for improving your memory.

Do you know that a student can produce up to 240 pounds of school waste and lots of waste gas during a term? This includes transportation, food, paper, pens, pencils and so on.
Transportation
Many parents like driving their kids to school every day. We all know waste gas from cars is a main cause of air pollution. If parents who live in a neighborhood can take turns to drive their kids to school each day, that’ll be better. Another way of going green is to walk to school if students live near it.
Food
It is surprising that only one primary school could produce up to 19,000 pounds of lunch waste each year. That is only one school. One way to help take care of the environment is to stop using plastic bags. There are all kinds of environmental boxes for students to put their food in.
Paper, pens and pencils [来源:学科网]
A lot of paper is thrown away by American students. They throw away about 1.6 billion pens every year. They waste many pens and the chemicals of them are bad for the environment. Much more pencils are thrown away than pens. Pencils are made of trees, so if more pencils are thrown away, more trees will be cut down. So students should reuse paper, pens and pencils instead of throwing them away.
Backpacks
As fashion comes and goes, almost every kid needs a new backpack every year. They can save a lot of money and materials(材料)if they reuse the same schoolbags.
