Dear Mike,
Following your request in last letter, I’m now sharing with you the situations of public transportation in Wuhan.
To improve the public transportation system, the local government has made the following attempts: lowering bus ticket prices, developing a free bicycle rental system, constructing four subways, and adding taxies as well. As far as I’m most concerned, I benefit a lot from the bicycle free-rented system, as I have a free bicycle available any time to ride where ever I like to. Besides, citizens in growing numbers are trying traveling to office by bicycles rather than in cars, for the reason that bicycling not just saves energy but it also helps keep fit.
I would greatly appreciate your describing what your city’s public transportation looks like.
Yours,
Li Hua
