Step 1 Warm-up(5mins)
Greeting: Good evening, class! Nice to meet you! How are you doing?
And then greet with the Ss one by one.
T: Hello, I’m Kelly. What’s your name?
Ss: My name is /I’m … .
T: How are you?
Ss: I’m fine. Thank you.
(Justification:This step will warm up the class and develop a good relationship.)
Step 2 Pre-listening(5mins)
Step 1:T show some pictures about London and ask Ss
T: Look, what’s this? It’s a … . Ss: Bridge/River/Clock.(Ss can answer in Chinese.)
T: Yes,it’s very close. It’s called Tower bridge.

Step 3 While-listening(15mins)
T Show some questions. Think about these questions while
listening. Listen to the record twice or three times.
a. How many people in the dialogue?
b. Who are they?
c. Where are they?
d. What can they see on Westminster Bridge?
(Justification:This step will both improve the students’ listening and speaking abilities.)
Step 4 Post-listening (20mins)
New words and expressions.
Step 5 Intensive reading and Grammar (30mins)
T Read the dialogue again and ask the Ss to underline the difficult words and phrase. In order to practise their ability to think, the teacher will encourage them to analyse the text by themselves first and then give them explanation.

(2) Grammar
T: Do you know what general question is? Let me explain it to you.
一般疑问句是疑问句的一种。它是一般只用yes(是)或no(否)来回答的句子。朗读一般疑问句时用升调,而一般疑问句的简略答语则用降调。在there be句型中,肯定句用some,否定句和疑问句用 any来表示“一些”。同学们可以试着在本课中去找一般疑问句。

(2)Read the text at least three days.
(Justification:Homework is the extension of class and helps them to enhance what they have learned in this class.)
