Notes on the Textapply
①表示“申请得到...”,要用介词for;
表示“申请做某事”,其后接不定式(to)
e.g: More than 30 people applied for the position.

②表示“向...申请(得到)...”,通常用apply to...for...:
e.g: He applied to us for help.
They applied to the government for financial help.

either,adj. 表示“二者中的任一个”,后面加可数名词的单数形式;

either 接名词做主语的时候,谓语动词视为单数,因为是任意一个人或事物

此外,引导时间状语从句的连词还包括:
