The students for medical cloning were strongly in favour of it because it can help to cure serious diseases that have no cure at the moment. Moreover, they argued that people who were losing their ability to move or think because of serious diseases could be helped by medical cloning. Those opposing medical cloning argued in two ways. The firstreason was that the procedures were not yet secure and their second reason was that it took many tries and many potential animals had to be killed to produce one usable embryo for research.
