教学目标:
  1.掌握单词:which, circle, add, score, relax, free, mind, active, must, without, bored, example
短语:add up…, in one’s free time, play an instrument, go on a trip, for example, etc.

What club is right for you?
Then add up your score and find out your club type!

2.学会运用关于找到合适的俱乐部的句型:
What club is right for you?
Then add up your score and find out your club type!

教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第四单元的第三课时,重点在于引导学生了解学校的俱乐部,从“适合你的俱乐部”开始,以问卷的形式,自然地导入谈论你的日常生活习惯和身体需要什么样的锻炼方式。以回答生活中的实际问题作为任务引起学生的兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,掌握一般将来时及其疑问句和否定句。情感目标定为通过话题的学习,能用已经学习的词汇,谈论俱乐部的种类和特点。让学生们了解每个俱乐部的特色,增进国内外的学生们对于俱乐部的理解和参加热情,了解俱乐部在孩子们成长过程中的重要作用。
教学准备:
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。
教学过程:
StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Play a guessing game.Ask the students to guess what the club is with the help of the pictures.
T:Now look at the pictures and guess what the club is.What are they doing?
S1:They are dancing.
T:What is the club?
S2:It’s a music club.
T:Look at the picture.What are they doing?
S3:They are swimming.
T:What is the club?
S4:It’s a swimming club.
T:Yes, you’re right.

[设计意图] 本课内容和俱乐部的种类和特色有关,故以guessing game的形式,让学生们以猜谜游戏的形式熟悉这些俱乐部的特点,并活跃课堂气氛。同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇、短语和句型。
Leading in 【情景2】
Work in groups.Ask the students to talk about the interests and what they do in their free time.What club do they want to take part in?
After a few minutes, ask the groups to give a speech in front of the class.
Group 1:×× enjoys playing the piano, but he/she can’t play it well.He/She needs someone to teach him/her.So he/she wants to join the music class.×× enjoys making up stories and writing something interesting.He/She wants to join the writing club.×× likes doing many kinds of sports.He/She likes running and swimming.He/She wants to join the sports club.
[设计意图] 根据学生们已经学过的内容,组员们谈论自己的兴趣和爱好,同学们充分调动学过的知识来描述他们在空闲时间做的事,有利于活跃气氛,引入根据自己的实际情况加入不同的俱乐部的话题。
StepⅡ.Presentation
1.Teacher should teach the new words and phrases in this part:which, circle, add, score, relax, free, mind, active, must, without, bored, example, add up…, in one’s free time, play an instrument, go on a trip, for example.Teacher leads the students to learn the new words and phrases.Teacher can use the pictures.
T:Which club do you wan to join?
S5:Sports club.I like doing sports very much.
T:Now read after me “which”.
S:Which.
T:What shape is it?
S6:It’s a circle.
T:Now read after me “circle”.
S:Circle.

2.The students work in pairs.Try to make sentences with the new words and expressions.
T:Now let’s try to make more sentences with the words and expressions in pairs.
S7:I like sweet food.Can I add some sugar in the coffee?
S8:Sure.
S7:What do you do in your free time?
S8:Nothing.I feel bored sometimes.
S7:You must take an active part in some sports.
S8:Thank you,I will.

[设计意图] 先让学生们学会新的单词和短语,然后用对话的形式让同学们练习它们。有利于同学们充分利用自己的时间来练习,让所有的同学都有兴趣参与课堂活动。
Step Ⅲ.Listening
1.Listen to the passage and fill in the blanks.

2.Listen to the passage and ask the students to imitate it.
The students should pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

Step Ⅳ.Reading
1.Teacher asks the class to read aloud and answer the following questions according to their own experiences:

S10:Yes,I do.I often run after supper with my dad.
S11:Yes,I do.I often play basketball with my friends after school.

(2)What is your favourite subject?Why?

(3)What do you do on a cold and snowy day?

S16:I often make snowmen with my friends.

2.Ask the students to finish the questions in the text.Choose the right answers for them.Look at the answers and add up the score.Find out the right club for them.
3.Read and find the key points.

(1)add up意为“把……加起来”。
Add up 3,4 and 5 and you’ll get 12.
把三、四、五相加,总数是十二。

in one’s free time意为“在某人的空闲时间”。

4.What do you do on a cold and snowy day??
表示“在……样的日子/上午/下午/晚上”时,介词用on。
We had a club meeting on a sunny morning.我们在一个晴朗的上午召开了俱乐部会议。
5.I must do something active inside.?
active用作形容词,意为“积极的;活跃的”。take an active part in意为“积极参加”。
We have to take an active part in the sports.我们必须积极参加运动。
  6.I can’t go anywhere without them.?
without用作介词,意为“没有;不用”, 后面接名词、动名词或人称代词的宾格形式,常位于句尾。位于句首时,常用逗号与主句隔开。
Danny hurried off without having breakfast.丹尼没有吃早饭就匆匆走了。
Without your help,I couldn’t finish my project.没有你们的帮助,我是完不成我的项目的。
[设计意图] 当学生们读到这些问题的时候,也许不同的人有不同的答案。读文章,找出问题的答案,设计这样的阅读题有助于学生理解文章细节。
StepⅤ.Practice
1.Ask the students to read the text.Choose the best student and praise him/her.
2.Ask the students to make sentences with the following words and expressions:
S21:Do you get enough exercise every day?
S22:Yes,I do.I run in the morning and after supper.
S21:What do you often do when you feel bored?
S22:I play an instrument.

3.Design more questions and ask the students to answer them.Find the right clubs for them.

(3)Do you like looking after babies and old people?

[设计意图] 谈论同学们感兴趣的话题,根据自身需要选择适合自己的俱乐部。重述课文内容,有助于学生理解文章细节。
StepⅥ.Come to “Let’s Do It!”
Exercise 1 is listening part.Ask the students to listen to the tape and finish it.Ask the students to finish Exercise 2 and Exercise 3 by themselves.Teacher checks their answers in class.
[设计意图] Let’s Do It!部分中的Exercise 1是听力教学,听关键细节,完成练习。Exercise 2考查学生们对课文的理解程度,在Exercise 3中,采访同学们,找到适合同学们的俱乐部的类型。
Step Ⅶ.Task
Work group:Finish Exercise 4.
Choose a club and make an advertisement for it.
Example:
Art Club
Do you like to draw or paint? Join the Art Club!
Drawing and painting is fun for everyone.
Join us after school and have a great time!

Ask the students to work in groups.Ask them to describe more things. Use their own language.
