教学思路：
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第五单元的第五课时,重点在于了解英语在世界语言文化中的重要性,从“学习英语”开始,自然地导入谈论英语的重要性的话题。以学习英语是人生的挑战和机会为起点,介绍了英语在世界上使用的广泛性,世界上的许多国家把英语当作第一语言和第二语言。出国旅游时,日常饮食和住宿都需要用到外语。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语。情感目标定为了解如何学习英语的重要性和实用性,了解英语在世界上被人们使用的广泛性,增加同学们学习英语的兴趣和信念,为将来走向世界打下良好的基础。
教学准备：
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。

Warm up.Pair work:Teacher shows pictures.People are using English in different countries and different situations in the world.Teacher asks the students to talk about when they need English if they travel.Ask questions like this:
