教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第五单元的第六课时,重点在于引导学生了解王梅写给杰西卡的电子邮件,从谈论“王梅的新笔友”开始,导入王梅给杰西卡写电子邮件的话题。以介绍王梅的家庭、爱好和自己的语言作为任务引起学生的兴趣,训练学生如何用英语电子邮件和笔友交流。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时在文章中反复运用反身代词和情态动词。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,如何利用电子邮件交友。情感目标定为学生能学会用英语写电子邮件。本课涉及谈论语言的话题,王梅介绍自己的家庭、爱好和自己国家的语言等内容,是同学们已经熟悉并掌握的句型,王梅在教杰西卡汉语,很多外国人在学习汉语,汉语日益走向世界。通过学
习这封电子邮件,了解王梅的家庭、爱好和自己国家的语言,培养学生根据语境,合理推断语境中的逻辑关系,提高逻辑思维的能力。通过阅读文章,了解中国的学生想通过学习英语打开通往世界的大门。

StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Begin the class with a free talk.Teacher asks the students to introduce themselves, including their families, hobbies and the ways to learn English.
T:Now let some students come to the front and introduce himself/herself.
S1:Let me introduce myself.My name is ××.I’m thirteen years old.I live in Beijing with my parents.I have no brothers or sisters, but I have many friends.I am 1. 5 metres tall.I like to sing and dance.I practice singing every day.My favourite food is rice and vegetables.

[设计意图] 用英语写电子邮件是学习英语的一种好方法,描述自己的家庭、爱好和学习英语的方法,能较好地激发同学们的学习热情和练习本单元的主要知识点。
Leading in 【情景2】
Pair work:Ask the students to work in pairs and discuss how they make friends.
T:Let’s talk about how you make friends with others.
S1:How do you make friends with others?
S2:First,I should be friendly to them.Then I often connect with them.
S1:How do you connect with them?
S2:I talk with them on the phone or connect with them by QQ.
S1:Do you have pen pals?
S2:No,I don’t.But I want to have some pen pals, especially English-speaking friends.

StepⅡ.Presentation
1.Show the students objects or pictures and learn the new words and expressions in this part:introduce, pen pal, Africa, chess, myself, language, English-speaking, reply, introduce oneself, won first place, any other languages, play chess, try to do…, look forward to.Show a picture to the students.Point to the picture and ask:
T:Can you introduce your friend to me?
S1:Yes, I do.
T:Now read after me “introduce”.
S:Introduce.
T:Who has pen pals?
S1:I do.
T:Now read after me “pen pal”.
S:Pen pal.

2.Ask the students to make sentences with the new words and phrases.
S2:Can you play chess?
S3:Yes,I can.
S2:Who taught you?
S3:No one.I taught myself.
S2:Do you have any pen pals?
S3:Yes,I do.
S2:Where is he from?
S3:He is from Africa.

Give the students chances to make sentences or make up dialogues.

Step Ⅲ.Listening
1.Listen to the passage and finish Exercise 1 in Let’s Do It.

live with sb.意为“和某人住在一起”。

no意为“没有”,同义短语为not any,常位于名词前,用来否定这个名词。

“any other+复数名词”意为“其他的……”。

◆more意为“更多的”,在此处是many的比较级。some more 表示在原基础上增加。

◆English-speaking用作形容词,意为“说英语的”。

【辨析】 try to do,try doing
try to do意为“尽力做某事”。try doing意为“试着做某事”。
I will try to help you.我将尽力去帮助你。
She is trying chatting online.
她在试着在网上聊天。
7.I’m looking forward to your reply.?
look forward to意为“期待,盼望”,后面接名词、代词或者动名词。
I look forward to your good news.
我等待你的好消息。

[设计意图] 读文章,找出问题的答案或补充文章,设计这样的阅读题有助于学生理解文章细节。
Step Ⅴ.Practice
1.Ask the students to retell the e-mail.
2.Ask the students to write an e-mail about making friends with pen pals.Every group chooses the best to read in front of the class.
When the students are writing, the teacher should walk around and give them advice.
[设计意图] 让学生们复述课文,然后写关于“和笔友交朋友”的电子邮件,描述其中最精彩的环节,这是写作练习,是今天的主题的升华。
Step Ⅵ.Complete Let’s Do It!
Exercise 1 is listening practice.We have finished it in listening part.We have finished Exercise 2 in reading part in class.Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 in class.Teacher checks their answers in class.

语法精讲
一、反身代词的用法
(一) 反身代词的基本形式
反身代词是 oneself,根据所指词的人称、性别、单复数等的变化可以有 myself, himself, herself, yourself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves 等形式。
  (二)oneself与himself
当one指人时,其相应的反身代词通常用oneself, 在美式英语中也可用himself。
One should not praise oneself/himself.
一个人不应该自吹自擂。
(三)反身代词的句法功能
1.作动词或介词的宾语:经常在enjoy, teach, hurt, buy, introduce, seat, dress, express, behave等动词和by, for, to, of等介词后作宾语。
She is teaching herself English.她在自学英语。
She was talking to herself.她自言自语。
2.作主语或宾语的同位语:主要起加强语气的作用,译作“亲自,本身,本人”。
Did you make the cake yourself?这蛋糕是你亲自做的吗?(yourself作主语you的同位语)
The work itself is easy.这工作本身很容易。(itself作主语The work的同位语)
Did you see Mr.Wang himself?你见过王先生本人吗?(himself作宾语Mr.Wang的同位语)
3.作表语:在be, feel, look, seem等系动词后作表语,表示身体或精神状态处于正常。
I’m not myself today.今天我感觉不舒服。
I am feeling myself again.我觉得健康如昔。
4.用于一些简短的会话用语或固定说法中。
Help yourself!请随便吃吧!/请自己去取吧!
Make yourself at home!别客气!
Don’t upset yourself!别自寻烦恼!
Make yourself heard/understood.
使你的话被人听得见/理解。
二、情态动词can的用法
情态动词can有一定的词义,但不能独立存在,它必须与动词原形一起构成谓语。情态动词can没有人称和数的变化。
(一)can的具体用法
1.表示“能,会”,指脑力或体力方面的“能力”。
I can speak English.我会讲英语。
Jim can swim,but I can’t.吉姆会游泳,但我不会。
2.表示“可能”,常用于否定句或疑问句中,指某种可能性。
Han Mei can’t be in the classroom.
韩梅不可能在教室里。
Can he come here today, please?
请问他今天能到这里来吗?
3.表示“可以”,常用于口语中,指许可或请求做某事。
Can I have a cup of tea, please?
请问我可以喝一杯茶吗?
You can go out.你可以出去了。
4.can在口语中可以代替may,表示许可或可以。 
5.can’t在口语中代替mustn’t时,表示禁止或不准。
You can’t play football in the street.
不准在马路上踢足球。
6.情态动词can的过去式could,用于现在时可使语气更委婉、更客气。
Could you help me with my English?
你能帮助我学习英语吗?
(二)can的基本句型
1.肯定句型为:主语+can+动词原形+其他。
They can play basketball.他们能打篮球。
She can dance.她会跳舞。
You can go to watch TV.你可以去看电视了。
2.否定句型为:主语+can’t/cannot+动词原形+其他。表示“某人不能(不会、不可能)做……”。其中can’t是cannot的缩略式。
You cannot pass the ball like this.
你不能像这样传球。
I can’t ride a motorbike.我不会骑摩托车。
3.疑问句句型分为:一般疑问句句型和特殊疑问句句型两种类型。
(1)一般疑问句句型为:Can+主语+动词原形+其他?表示“某人会(能、可以)做……吗?”,用于口语时,常表示请求或许可。其肯定答语用“Yes,主语+can.”,否定答语用“No,主语+can’t.”。注意答语中作主语的人称代词应根据问句中的主语做相应的变化。其变化规则为:第一人称问,则第二人称答;第二人称问,则第一人称答;第三人称问,第三人称答。
—Can you sing an English song for us?
你可以为我们唱一首英语歌吗? 
—Yes.行。(注意在Yes后面常省略I can)
—Can I skate?我可以滑冰吗? 
—Yes, you can.可以。 
—Can she climb hills?她能爬山吗? 
—No, she can’t.不,她不能。 
(2)特殊疑问句句型为:
①Who+can+动词原形+其他?该句型中Who相当于主语。
—Who can sing in English in your class?
你们班上谁会用英语唱歌?
—Lily can.莉莉会。
②特殊疑问词组+名词+can+主语+动词原形+其他?该句型中的特殊疑问词组常用how many, how much等。
—How many boats can you see?
你能看见多少只船?
—Only one boat.仅有一只。
③特殊疑问词+can+主语+动词原形+其他?该句型中的特殊疑问词常用what, where, when等,一般用肯定陈述句作答。
—What can you see in the picture?
你能在图画中看到什么?
—I can see some birds and two big trees in it.
我能在图画中看到一些鸟和两棵大树。
