教学目标:
1.掌握单词:success, throw, threw, winner
短语:a great success, take part in, ball throwing, work hard, get some exercise, well done, get in the way, etc.
2.掌握和运用关于运动日的报告的句型:
Danny is writing about Sports Day for the school newspaper.
Sports Day was a great success this year!
All the students and teachers from Grades 7, 8 and 9 took part in the sports events.
There were ten different events like running, long and high jumps, and ball throwing.
Everyone worked very hard,and we all got some good exercise.
There were many winners this year.
Kim, from Grade 7, won first place in four events.
I took part in a running event.
I ran really hard, but my tail got in the way.
Winning is not everything.Having fun is important.

教学内容:
1.学会运用描述运动会的场景的词或短语:success, throw, threw, winner, a great success, take part in, ball throwing, work hard, get some exercise, well done, get in the way, etc.。
2.学会运用关于运动日的报告的句型:
Danny is writing about Sports Day for the school newspaper.
Sports Day was a great success this year!
All the students and teachers from Grades 7, 8 and 9 took part in the sports events.

教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第七单元的第三课时,重点在于引导学生谈论运动会的活动,从“成功的运动会”开始,自然地导入谈论运动会的比赛项目和取得成绩的话题。以描述运动会的活动作为任务引起学生的兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,掌握There be结构和一般过去时的用法。情感目标定为通过话题的学习,能用已经学习的词汇,谈论同学们在运动日的活动。增进学生们对于体育事业的热爱,了解学习过程中适当放松是有必要的。
教学准备:
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。
教学过程:
StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Show some pictures of different kinds of sports to the students.Ask them to talk about the pictures.Point to the pictures.Ask the students questions:
T:What are they doing in the picture?
S1:They are having a sports meet.
T:What are the boys doing?
S2:They are running.
T:What are the girls doing?
S3:They are jumping high.
T:What are the boys doing?
S4:They are throwing balls.
T:What are the girls doing?
S5:They are jumping long.

[设计意图] 本课内容和学校运动会有关,故以“看图画,说一说”的形式,熟悉本课要学习的内容,了解运动会的比赛项目,并活跃课堂气氛。同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇、短语和句型。
Leading in 【情景2】
Work in groups.Ask the students to talk about what their favourite sports are.
S1:What sports do you like best?
S2:I like basketball best.It makes me relaxed.What about you?
S1:I like swimming very much.It makes me slim.What’s your favourite sport?
S3:My favourite sport is badminton.I often play badminton with my sister at home.
S1:Do you like ball games?
S4:Yes.I like playing ping-pong very much.I often play ping-pong with my friends after school.

After a few minutes, ask the groups to give a speech in front of the class.
Group 1:All of my group members like sports very much.Mike likes playing basketball very much.He thinks playing basketball makes him relaxed.Mary likes swimming.It can make her slim.Kate likes playing badminton with her sister at home.Tom likes playing ping-pong with his friends after school.
[设计意图] 根据学生们的亲身经历,谈论学生在空闲时间最喜欢做的运动,谈论这项运动带给他们的感觉,同学们充分调动学过的知识,有利于活跃气氛,引入学习英语单词的话题。
StepⅡ.Presentation
1.Teacher should teach the new words and phrases in this part:success, throw, threw, winner, a great success, take part in, ball throwing, work hard, get some exercise, well done, get in the way.Teacher leads the students to learn the new words and phrases.Teacher can use the pictures.
T:Was our food sale a success?
S:Yes, it was.
T:Now read after me“success”.
S:Success.
T:Do you want to be successful?
S:Yes, we do.
T:Now read after me“successful”.
S:Successful.
T:Don’t throw paper on the floor.
S6:Sorry,I wont’ do that again.

2.The students work in pairs.Try to make sentences with the new words and expressions.
T:Now let’s try to make more sentences with the words and expressions in pairs.
S7:Who was the winner of the ball throwing?
S8:Mike.He got first place.
S7:How many events did he take part in?
S8:Three.
S7:Was he also the winner in the other two events?
S8:Yes.He got second place in the 100- metre running race.He got third place in the high jump.

success用作名词,意为“成功”。如果前面有形容词修饰,可以加a,可与have,get搭配。

get in the way是固定短语,意为“挡道”,常与 of 连用。

Thank sb.for sth.因某事感谢某人。如果跟动词,要用v.-ing形式。

Exercise 1 is listening part.We have finished it in class.Exercise 2 is reading part.We have finished it in class.Ask the students to finish Exercise 3 by themselves.Teacher checks their answers in class.

Ask the students to work in groups.Ask them to describe more things.Use their own languages.
