教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第八单元的第五课时,重点了解学生们的暑假生活,从“暑假计划”开始,自然地导入谈论暑假计划和活动的话题。以谈论暑假的计划为起点,介绍了刘老师、王梅、陶晓林、李琳和李明的暑假计划和活动。王梅志愿在图书馆工作,陶晓林要和父母去德国旅行,李林要去上游泳课,李明要去和农村的一个家庭住在一起,刘老师要在北京大学继续学习。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,如何描述暑假的计划和活动的句型。情感目标定为了解孩子们的暑假计划,了解度过一个有意义的暑假生活的重要性,通过学习,了解外国的孩子们是如何度过暑假的。
教学准备:
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。
教学过程:
StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Show some pictures of summer to the students.Ask them to talk about the pictures.Point to the pictures.Ask the students questions:
T:What is Wang Mei doing in the picture?
S1:She is putting away the books in the library.
T:What is Tao Xiaolin doing in the picture?
S2:She is taking some pictures.
T: What is Li Lin doing in the picture?
S3:He is swimming in the swimming pool.
T:What is Li Ming doing in the picture?
S4:He is living with a family in the countryside.
T:What is Ms.Liu doing in the picture?
S5:She is studying at Beijing University.

[设计意图] 本课内容和暑假计划有关,故以“看图画,说一说”的形式,熟悉本课要学习的内容,介绍了刘老师、王梅、陶晓琳、李林和李明的暑假计划和活动,并活跃课堂气氛。同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇、短语和句型。
Leading in 【情景2】
Work in groups.Ask the students to talk about what they will do during the summer holiday.
S1:What will you do during the summer holiday?
S2:I will help my brother with his homework first.
S3:I will learn to swim with my cousin.
S4:I will go on a trip with my parents.
S5:I will watch many new movies.
S6:I am going to help at the Old People’s Home.
S7:I am going to learn English on the Internet.
S8:I am going to learn to cook.

After a few minutes, ask the groups to give a speech in front of the class.
Group 1:During the summer holiday, our group members will do many different things.They have different ways to make them relaxed.Mike will help his brother with his homework first.Tom will learn to swim with his cousin.Mary will go on a trip with her parents.Kate will watch many new movies.Bob is going to help at the Old People’s Home.Helen is going to learn English on the Internet.Bill is going to learn to cook.
[设计意图] 根据学生们的生活常识,谈论学生们在暑假的计划和活动。同学们充分调动学过的知识,有利于活跃气氛,引入学习英语单词的话题。
Step Ⅱ.Presentation
1.Show the students pictures or objects and learn the new words and expressions in this part:last, Germany, plan, storybooks, countryside, experience, wonderful, university, talk about, summer plans, read…to…, take lessons/classes, go swimming, keep doing…
T:What did you do last week?
S9:I worked hard every day.
T:Now read after me “last”.

2.Ask the students to work in pairs.Try to make a conversation with the new words and phrases.
T:Try to make conversations with the new words and phrases.

S12:I will read many storybooks.

[设计意图] 呈现新的单词、短语和句型,让学生充分掌握之后,才能很好地进行下面的环节。

1.Listen to the text and finish Exercise 1 in Let’s Do It.
