教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第二单元的第一课时,主要涉及植树情况的介绍。在授课之前先让学生通过网络了解或者介绍自己参加过的植树活动了解本课要点。课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流;然后教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示植树的过程,并让学生用英语进行介绍。

StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
T:Hello,boys and girls.When is Tree Planting Day in China?
Ss:It’s March 12th.
T:What are the basic steps for planting a tree?
S1:Look for the seedlings.
S2:Dig a hole.
T:Why is planting trees important to the environment?
Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures,such as a storm/a flood.Ask the students to talk about these problems for three minutes.Then we can know the importance of trees,then let them present their talk in class.
[设计意图] 利用学生学过的内容,从询问植树情况开始,讨论植物的作用,轻松进入语境,进而介绍生词,图片的使用使学习更加形象直观,自然地进入谈论植树的新话题。

Greet the class.
T:Hello! Boys and girls!

Ask the students to introduce the plant in class.

Show the new word “plant” and show the picture of planting trees to the students.

If some students feel the conversation is too long,the teacher can divide it into two or three talks.Then ask them to read them in pairs.After a while,ask them to act them out.

◆maybe作副词,意思是“也许;大概”,在句中作状语,一般放在句首,可以位于句中,还可以单独作答语。
【拓展】 may be是由“情态动词may+动词原形be”构成的,在句中作谓语,意思是“可能是”。
It may be in your bag.它可能在你包里。
◆a little bigger意为“大一点”。a little在此作程度副词,可用于修饰形容词、副词的比较级,表示比较的程度。
She is a little taller than her sister.
她比她的姐姐高一点。
【拓展】 除了a little 之外,much,a lot,even,far等都可以修饰比较级。
She did much better this time.
她这次做得好多了。
2.By the way,there is another group of people down the hill.?
by the way意为“顺便问一下;顺便说一下”,表示附带说,常用于交谈中引出题外的话语。通常放在句首,用逗号将其与后面的句子隔开。

【拓展】 由way 构成的其他短语:
(1)in the way妨碍。

(2)in this way用这种方法。

3.A lot of rich lands in the northern area have turned into desert.?
turn into意为“变成”,相当于grow into,其中into 是介词,后接名词或代词作宾语。turn sb/sth into sth意为“把……变成……”。
The witch turned the prince into a frog.
女巫把王子变成了青蛙。
【拓展】 含有turn的短语:turn in 交还; turn out出席;turn over 翻身; turn up 露面。
