教学目标:
1.懂得运用本课保护环境的方式方法。
2.学习掌握表达保护环境的句型:I try to save water in many ways.We sort our pop cans,beer bottles and waste paper.More people should ride bikes or take buses.
3.巩固代词it的用法。
重点难点:
1.正确使用本课关于保护环境的词:protect,waste,save,clear,recycle,reuse
2.懂得介绍自己掌握的环保知识。
3.掌握重点句型:I think everyone should take care of the environment.I often check to make sure there aren’t any leaks,and I never forget to turn off the tap.A truck picked up our recycling every week.It’s not too hard to protect the environment.
教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第八单元的第四课时,主要涉及保护环境的介绍。在授课之前先让学生自己说一说自己掌握的环保知识,也可以询问同学如何进行环保的情况。课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流;然后教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示使用保护环境的情况,并让学生用英语简单介绍自己是如何进行环保的,培养环保意识,保护环境就是保护我们自己。
教学准备:
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,图片和单词卡片。
教学过程:
StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
T:Hello,boys and girls.Is your hometown clean enough?
Ss:Yes/No.
T:What do you do for your hometown?
S1:Plant more trees and flowers.
S2:Save water.
S3:Reduce waste.
T:What can you do for reducing waste?
S4:Recycling.
S5:Reusing.
S6:We should use paper on both sides.
T:What else can you do for protecting the environment?
Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures about protecting the environment.Ask the students to talk for three minutes.Then let them present their talk in class.
[设计意图] 利用学生学过的内容,从询问如何保护家乡的环境开始,轻松进入语境,进而介绍生词,图片的使用使学习更加形象直观,自然地进入谈论保护环境的新话题。
Leading in 【情景2】
Greet the class.
T:Hello! Boys and girls!
Ss:Hello! Mr./Ms.XX.
Ask the students to introduce our hometown’s environment in class.
S1:It’s clean.
S2:But somewhere is dirty.
S3:There is a lot of garbage.
Show the new words and show the picture of our hometown’s environment to the students.
T:What should you do to protect our hometown’s environment?
S4:Pick up the garbage.
S5:Don’t waste paper or water.
S6:Take part in some environment clubs.

[设计意图] 运用学生所学的知识,从谈论熟悉的入手进入新内容的学习,运用实物或图片帮助学生学习生词,直观、感性、形象。
StepⅡ.Presentation
If some students feel the passage is too long,the teacher can divide it into two or three parts.Then ask them to read them in groups.After a while,ask them to read them one by one.

☆教材解读☆
1.Is your hometown clean enough? ?
句中enough作副词,意思是“足够地”。enough可以修饰动词、形容词或者副词,放在被修饰词的后面,构成“(not+)enough(for sb)+to do sth ”,意思是“(对某人而言)足够(不够)……去做某事”。
He is old enough to go to school.
他足够大了,可以去上学。
The bag is light enough for her to carry.
这个包对她而言足够轻了,她可以搬动。
We have no enough money to travel.
我们没有足够的钱去旅行。
【拓展】 (1)enough 还可以作限定语,放在前面修饰复数名词或者不可数名词,表示“足够的,充足的”。
She has enough food for herself.
她有足够的食物。
He has no enough time to play.
他没有足够的时间去玩。
(2)enough还可以作代词,意思是“足够”。
Don’t give him food.He has got enough!
不要给他食物了。他已经吃得够多了!
2.In fact,if each of us makes a small change in our life,we can make a big difference to our environment.?
◆in fact 意思是“事实上”,常用作副词短语,一般在句中作状语。
In fact,it is very hot.事实上,天很热。
【拓展】  in fact还可以表示“确切地说”。
He is not happy,in fact,he is very sad.
他不高兴,确切地说,他很伤心。
◆句中make a difference to…意思是“对……造成影响”,difference前面还可以放一些修饰词,如big,some,great等。
Education has made a great difference to him.教育对他产生了巨大的影响。
【拓展】 (1)make no difference意思是“没有影响”。
That you are happy or not makes no difference.你的喜怒无关紧要。
(2)make all the difference意思是“关系巨大”。
Your words make all the difference.
你的话产生了巨大作用。
[设计意图] 学生通过阅读课文,掌握重点内容,并且通过回答问题来巩固对课文的理解和掌握;朗读课文,进行填空练习,加深对课文的理解。
StepⅥ.Complete Let’s Do It!
Ask the students to read the passage until the students can answer the questions themselves in No.1 and No.2.
[设计意图] Let’s Do It! 部分中的No.1重点是阅读教学,让学生反复朗读课文,直到回答出所有问题,No.2针对本课的重点单词,加以巩固练习。

GROUP WORK:Let’s Do It! No.3
Ask students to come to the front of the classroom,and some start walking towards others as the teacher says “go”.They must stop as the teacher says “stop”.Then they can make a new group to discuss “What can we do to improve our environment?”
[设计意图] No.3的重点是口语练习,同学们通过随机组合来完成小组合作。以“改善环境”为话题,提供了一个语境完整、内容丰富的谈话内容,自然呈现本单元的核心句型,为学生进一步输出语言提供了口语示范。
