教学思路:
本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第八单元的第五课时,主要涉及介绍保护自然、保护动物的重要性。在授课之前先让学生通过调查上网掌握大自然以及动植物的一些情况。课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流;同时,教师通过幻灯片、图片、照片等向学生展示一些大自然、动植物的现状,并让学生用英语简单进行介绍。掌握自然和动物,保护自然和动物,保护我们的地球我们的家园。
教学准备:
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,图片和单词卡片。

StepⅠ.Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Show some pictures about the earth.Then discuss the following questions:
T:Hello,boys and girls.What do you know about the earth?
S1:It’s our home.
S2:It’s the only planet to live.
T:If there is no rain for a long time,what will happen?
S3:Dry.
S4:No water to drink.
T:What do you think cause it?
S5:Human destroyed it.
T:What should we do to protect the environment?
Discuss the questions in groups.Ask the students to talk for three minutes.Then let them present their talk in class.

start out意思是“最初”,同义词组为start off。
KFC started out/off as a small store.
肯德基最初是一个小店铺。
【拓展】 start out还可意为“出发”。

2.If we pollute the rivers and oceans,fish may get sick or even die.?
句中get sick意思是“生病”,get 在这是系动词,意思是“变得”,后面一般接形容词或者动词的过去分词。
The weather gets hot.天气变热了。

【拓展】 get的其他用法:
(1)get表示“得到”。
We can get good education today.
现在我们能够得到良好的教育。
(2)get表示“理解”。
I have got you.我明白你的意思。
(3)get“到达”,是不及物动词,接地点用to,接地点副词时,省略to。
He got to Shanghai last night.
他昨晚到达了上海。
(4)get 还可以作使役动词,意思是“使……”。
She always gets her mother to cook delicious food.她总是让她妈妈给她做好吃的。
3.Nature is a balance between all the living things on the planet.?
句中between是介词,意思是“在……之间”,可以构成词组“between…and…”,意思是“在……和……之间”,强调两者之间,比如说两个人、两件事、两个地点之间等等。
My home is between a bank and a supermarket.我家在一个银行和一个超市之间。
【辨析】 between,among
(1)between(介词)表示两者之间或者三者以上的两两之间。
There are many trees between buildings.
在建筑物之间有许多树木。
(2)among(介词)表示三者或者三者以上的之中。
English is the easiest to learn among all the languages.在所有语言中,英语是最容易学的。
