We have learnt the story The Fisherman and the Goldfish in last lesson.Which characters in the play do you like?Which do you dislike?Why?The fisherman’s wife asked for a new house.Can you guess what will happen in this lesson?Let’s see.
设计意图:以问答的形式引入本课时话题,吸引学生的眼球,提高他们的课堂参与积极性。
环节2
Books closed!The students listen to the tape carefully,then read loudly.
Skimming:read the article quickly.
3. The students read the text carefully by themselves,answer the following questions.
(1)Who wants to have a new house?(The fisherman’s wife.)
(2)Does the wife become happy after she got the house?(No,she doesn’t.)
(3)Does the wife become a rich lady at end of the story?(No.)
4. Give students a few minutes to read the passage:Why the fisherman’s wife is back again?And ask students to work in groups and act out the play.
5. The students work in pairs.Act out the play.
6. Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”,and then repeat after the tape.
7. Do Exercise 1 and exercise 2 in “Let’s Do It!”.
8. Do Exercise 3 and exercise 4 in “Let’s Do It!” after class.
