环节1 新课导入
T:Read a few old Chinese poems.Do they follow a pattern?
Ss:Yes,they follow some regular patterns.
T:What pattern does a five-line poem follow?
Ss:I’m sorry,I don’t know.
T:OK,don’t worry.Today we’ll learn about five-line poems.
So after learning this lesson,we should know what patterns does a five-line poem follow.Now let’s begin our class.
设计意图:新课开始,教师通过设计几个学生感兴趣的问题导入新课,能调动他们的学习积极性。
环节2
1.Teacher shows the students a five-line poem. Then explain the meaning of this poem and teach the rules of this kind of poems.
2.The students read the text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the dialogue,then role play the dialogue.Find out the main words and sentences in the dialogue.
3.Read the text again and finish Exercise 1 on Page 53.
4.Explain the meaning of the whole text sentence by sentence,help the students remember the main words and the main sentences.
5.Look at the picture in Page 53 Question 2. Work in pairs and collect some words to describe it.

(1)This kind of poem always talks about a single topic.这种诗通常只有一个主题。
single作形容词,有以下几种含义:
1)单个的,单独的(作定语)
a/one single+单数名词=only one+单数名词
The letter was written on a single sheet of paper.这封信只用一张纸写成。
There is a single table(only one table)in the room.房间里只有一张桌子。
2)单身的,未婚的
He remains single all his life.他一生独身。
3)单程的,与return相对
a single ticket=a one-way ticket单程票;a return ticket来回票
(2)Each line has a set number of words.每行都有一定数量的词。
a set number of...一定数量的……,固定数量的……;a number of...许多的,大量的……;the number of...……的数目。
(3)You can use any type of words here.你可以选择任意一种词。
any,用在肯定句中,表示“任何的,任何一种”,后接单数可数名词。
Any book will do.任何书都可以。
You can come at any time.你随时都能来。
(4)过去进行时的构成
肯定句:主语 + was/were + 现在分词...
否定句:主语 + was/were + not + 现在分词...
疑问句:Was/Were + 主语 + 现在分词...?
疑问代词/疑问副词 + was/were + 主语 + 现在分词...?
设计意图:让学生能抓住文中重点词汇和句型,善于归纳。
