On August 21st, I was working on my homework, a composition titled “My Hero/Heroine”. Half an hour passed, yet I still could not come up with any idea.
I opened the door only to find they were watching the volleyball match of women’s final. Then I decided to take a break and joined them. The score was quite close between China and its opponent.
The Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team won in the end and became the champion in the Olympic Games! They stood on the podium with our national flag held in front of them.
The volleyball players had trained so hard before the Olympics and fought till the last minute. I rushed to my desk and started to write my composition.

Version2: On August 21st, I was working on my homework, a composition titled “My Hero/Heroine”. I was stuck at the very beginning, trying to figure out who my hero/heroine would be. Half an hour passed, yet I still could not come up with any idea.
Attracted by the cheers from the living room, I opened the door only to find they were watching the volleyball match of women’s final. Then I decided to take a break and joined them. The sense of excitement and nervousness were overwhelming as the score was quite close between China and its opponent.
To our greatest delight, the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team won in the end and became the champion in the Olympic Games! The moment they stood on the podium with our national flag held in front of them, we couldn’t help feeling proud as Chinese!
Right then, I was inspired. The volleyball players had trained so hard before the Olympics and fought till the last minute. With no doubt, they are not only my heroines, but the heroines of China! I rushed to my desk and started to write my composition.

How do we write emotional changes as transition?What else? As I entered my classroom that first morning, I chose a seat in the back, hoping to avoid attention.
I left that day feeling I might survive.假设你是红星中学高三(1)班的学生李华。下面四幅图描述了一天下午放学后你和几个同学回家路上的经历,请根据图片的先后顺序,为校刊“英文园地”写一篇短文,词数不少于60。 Last Friday after school it was raining cats and dogs and I was sitting in the bus on my way home when the bus stopped and could not move again, which made the passengers anxious and even upset.
Eager to find out the reason, we rushed out to take a look and found out that the bus was stuck into a hole. Feeling it our responsibility to help others, we decided to push the bus from behind regardless of the heavy rain and warning of the driver, which greatly moved the other passengers in the bus.
Inspired by our action, more passengers joined us to push the bus with some others holding the umbrella for us which soon made the bus out of the hole.
Feeling a sense of achievement emerging from the bottom of my heart, we all cheered and even danced in the rain totally forgetting the heavy rain pouring down on our face.
Through this experience we learned that actions are always better than waiting and a team is always more powerful than individual.
Summary: A logical transition can be realized through time order, story development and emotional changes of the figure in the story.
Emotional changes can work as details to support the major points and meanwhile work as the transition.
More than one kind of logical transitions can be applied to one passage. Homework Polish your own writing
