Lesson 14 Happy memories
本课的教学内容是第三单元的第二课时,课文内容主要涉及介绍家庭聚会。可以让学生通过演讲的形式介绍自己的家庭聚会情况,在此基础上,通过小组活动相互交流。课文体裁是说明文,指导学生准确理解文章意思。此外,本课中的词汇、词组和句式的用法较多,教师总结讲解,学生应当做好笔记。

Leading in 【情景1】
Show the class a photo of your family. Describe what was happening in the photo. Then ask some Ss to talk about stories of their photos. Use the following questions.
Where were you? Why were you there? Who were you with? What were you doing? Was it a good memory? Why or why not?
T: These photos are useful. They can save your memories. Let’s learn Lesson 14: Happy Memories.

1. Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.

too… to…意为“太……以致不能……”, too 后接形容词或副词,to 后接动词原形。too… to… 结构表达否定意义。

3. People always enjoy looking at old pictures.?
enjoy后接动名词形式。
Wang Hao enjoys playing football very much. 王浩很喜欢踢足球。
4. It’s fun to make a family tree.?
“It’s +形容词+to do sth.”句型中用It作形式主语,而将真正的主语——动词不定式放在后面。

5. Never forget to stay in touch with your family.?
◆forget to do sth. 意思是“忘了做某事(该做却没做)”; forget doing sth. 意思是“忘记做过某事(实际上做了)”。

【拓展】类似用法的词还有remember,regret 等。
◆stay in touch的意思是“保持联系”, 此处也可以用keep in touch 代替。
