Lesson 28 Rich or poor? It doesn’t matter.

Step Ⅰ. Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
Discuss “Dig In” of this lesson. Show some pictures about jobs, and ask the students to talk about themselves freely. Make a list of jobs/careers on the blackboard.
At the same time, teach the students some new words.

Discuss the questions of “THINK ABOUT IT”.
T: Do you want to be a farmer when you grow up? Why or why not?

◆biggest是big的最高级形式。形容词的最高级用于三者或三者以上的人或物之间的比较。 在句中使用时, 最高级前一般要加定冠
词the, 且句中常含有表示比较范围的of或in短语, of后面一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词;in 后面一般接一个表示单位或场所的名词。
Bill is the tallest boy of us. 比尔是我们中最高的男孩。
Jane has the most friends in our class. 简在我们班里有最多的朋友。
◆come true为固定短语, 意为“实现”。
I hope my dream will come true. 我希望我的梦想能实现。
2. I would run a business and lead a team. ?
◆run a business经营生意, run在此意为“经营”。
His father runs a business. 他的父亲经营生意。
◆lead a team带领一个团队, lead为动词, 意为“带领”, 其过去式为led, 过去分词为led。
3. I would work hard and make the company bigger and stronger. ?
bigger和stronger是形容词的比较级形式, 在句中作宾语补足语, 意为“更大”和“更强”。
My sister is growing taller and taller. 我妹妹长得越来越高。
【拓展】 形容词比较级常用于两者之间的比较, 表示两者之间的差异, 句式结构多为“主语+谓语(系动词)+形容词的比较级+than+对比成分”或“含有形容词比较级的主句+than+(对比的)从句”。其中从句常常省略意义上与主句相同的部分, 只剩下对比的部分。

4. I would encourage them to be creative. ?
encourage sb. to do sth. 表示“鼓励某人做某事”。
Our English teacher often encourages us to speak more English. 我们的英语老师经常鼓励我们多讲英语。
5. His dream is to be a doctor. ?
to be a doctor是不定式短语, 位于be动词之后, 作表语, 表示主语的内容。
Their goal is to win the game. 他们的目标是赢得这次比赛。
