Lesson 30 A famous friend
本课的教学内容是第五单元的第六课时, 内容涉及对未来打算的介绍。在课前先让学生想想自己将来的打算。课上可以让学生通过小组合作的形式相互交流, 教师通过图片向学生展示职业与活动, 并让学生用英语加以描述。

Leading in 【情景1】
Ask the students to talk about their ambitions.
T: Boy and girls, yesterday I asked you to write a letter to your parents about your ambitions. Now please exchange your letter with your group members, so you can also learn about others’ ambitions.
Five minutes later, ask several students to read out the letter she or he got.
T: Great! From your letters I know that Yang Lin’s ambition is to be a pop star. Then she will be very famous.
Ss: What does “famous” mean?
T: Jay Zhou(周杰伦)is famous. That means many people know him. Now we are going to learn A Famous Friend? When you read, please think who the famous friend is.

no matter what表示“ 无论如何”, 相当于
whatever, 常用来引导让步状语从句, 在what后省略了谓语 (happens), 类似引导词(组)还有: no matter when/whenever(无论什么时候), no matter where/wherever (无论在哪里), no matter how/however (无论怎样)。
Don’t trust him, no matter what he says. 不管他说什么都不要相信他。
