Lead in by discussing the following questions.
How many people are there in your family? What hobbies do they have? Do you know any interesting facts about your family history?
Let the students discuss the questions in groups. Then ask them to present their answers in front of the class.

◆make 用作使役动词, 表示“使;使成为”时, 后可跟复合结构, 即“make+宾语+宾语补足语”, 其中的宾语补足语可以是不带to 的动词不定式、过去分词、形容词或名词。
The strange noise made us frightened. 奇怪的噪音使我们感到恐惧。
The good news made us excited. 这则好消息使我们感到兴奋。
◆feel proud 的意思是“感到骄傲”, 为“系动词+形容词”结构。例如: feel hungry 感到饥饿;feel sad 感到伤心。类似的结构还有: look well 看起来气色好;smell delicious 闻起来很香;sound reasonable 听起来很有道理;taste terrible 尝起来难吃。

get… from…表示“从……获得……”。

not…anymore 意为“不再……”。not…anymore相当于not…any more或no more, 用于表示数量或程度, 常与非延续性动词连用。

【拓展】 not…any longer 也意为“不再……”, 相当于no longer, 表示时间或状态不再持续, 常与延续性动词连用。

need to do sth. 指“需要做某事”, 主语是人, need为实义动词。
I need to have a rest. 我需要休息一下。
【注意】 当主语是物时, 使用need doing表示“需要被……”。

【拓展】 need还可以作情态动词, 后接动词原形, 常用于疑问句或否定句中。
They needn’t do the same thing again. 他们不必再做同样的事情了。
