by 指通过某种方式,乘某种交通工具。 I go to school by bike.

2.表示“具有,拥有,戴”。 Who’s that man with sunglasses?

一、定义: 是一种兼有动词和名词特征的非谓语动词形式。
二、基本形式: V-ing
三、作 用: 动名词具有名词的性质,在句中可以做主语、
表语、宾语、定语等。

1.作主语:所表动作比较抽象,或者泛指习惯性的动作。

注意:
动名词做主语,有时先用it作形式主语,把动名词置于句末。这种用法在习惯句型中常用。

在以上结构中常用动名词作主语。
It’s no use crying over spilt milk. 覆水难收。

四、基本用法

常见的此类动词有:
practice, enjoy, finish, mind, miss, keep, feel like, give up, cannot help,
keep on, put off, depend on, think about, succeed in, worry about, be
used to, get used to, look forward to, pay attention to等。
How do you practice speaking? 你怎样练习说?
I have to finish reading a book and give a report.
我不得不读完一本书并做个报告。

3.作表语
动名词作表语时句子主语常是表示无生命的事物的名词或what引导的名词性从句。表语动名词与主语通常是对等的关系,表示主语的内容,主语、表语可互换位置。

动名词的复合结构,实际上是给动名词加了一个逻辑主语。动名词的复合结构有四种形式:
① 形容词性物主代词 + 动名词;
② 名词's + 动名词;
③ 代词宾格 + 动名词;
④ 名词 + 动名词。
动名词的复合结构可在句中作主语或宾语。作主语时,不能用③、④两种形式;无生命名词不能用第②种形式。如:
Jack’s/ His leaving alone made all of us worried.
他/杰克独自离开使得我们大家都很担心。
Do you mind my/me/Jack's /Jack leaving now ?
我/杰克现在离开你介意吗?
六、动名词的复合结构

to do (动作尚未发生)
doing (动作已经发生)
① I remember seeing you somewhere last year.
我记得去年在什么地方见过你。(动作发生了)
② I will remember to see her at the hotel.
我记着要去宾馆见她。(动作尚未发生)
七、易混辨析
有的动词既可接动名词又可接不定式,但表达的意义不同,
应注意其区别。

doing 试试去做(看有何结果)

to do (打算做, 主语一般是人)
doing (意味着, 主语一般是物)
