Show the students the picture of The Journey to The West, to lead in the destination of the trip—Canada. Lead in the basic elements of a trip.

To introduce more information about Canada by having a competition about Canada. Divide the whole class into two groups to see which group know more about Canada.

Look at the pictures and guess the 6-wh questions.

Skim the text to find out the meaning of “the true north”
Read the text fast to find out the route. As for some important words and sentence, the students should read them together after the teacher.
The students will complete the exercise with their deskmates. Meanwhile, they will also appreciate lots of pictures of Canada to get a deeper understanging of it.
Complete the passage and sing it to recall what they have got from the text.
Finish the writing referring to the key words& expressions and writing skills and get ready to share their writing with the whole class.
