In order to put students in the center of learning and encourage them to develop critical thinking, I intend to use Communicative Approach and Task-based Teaching Method in teaching. Students will do self-dependent work, group work and interactive work.

A multi-media computer, projector, blackboard are all necessary.

Step 1 Warming up

2. Sharpen your ears. Listen to the songs and tell us the singers.
3. Do you know any other foreign band?
(设计意图:首先抛出问题,引导学生说说音乐带给自己的好处。点燃学生的参与意识。然后听歌练耳。播放一些耳熟能详,学生喜爱的音乐,让他们猜演唱者。充分调动学生的积极性,激发学习的兴趣。第三个问题是为了引出阅读文章中的乐队 the Monkees,为阅读课做好铺垫。)

The Monkees is a band with 4-person that was very popular in the 1960s in America and as well as a TV show of the same name and it based on “The Beatles”. The band used instruments rarely seen on TV at that time. Now it is still popular in the world today.
