教学目标:
经过本课语篇的学习,学生能够:
基于所读内容和主要语言讲述Anne在躲避纳粹期间对“大自然”的三次情感变化以及原因分析。
对主人公经历及其人格品质作出自己的评价。
对文本从不同角度进行分析和深度解读,联系个人生活,谈论自己对朋友的看法以及对战争带给人类的思考和启示。
学习准备:学生课前自学了新单词,预习了课文。

Lead in
(Pre-reading)
Ss do a brainstorm about “why friends are important to you?”
Ss share their experiences & opinions and T writes them on the blackboard.
T introduces the title of the text(“Anne’s best friend ”) and encourage Ss to think about who is Anne’s best friend?
创设情境,引出主题,激活学生背景知识并引出学生问题, 形成阅读期待。

Reading
1st reading
T invites Ss to read the first part of the text and find out 6 “factors”: when, where, what, why, who, how.
2nd reading
T asks Ss to read the Anne’s diary carefully and work in pairs to fill in the chart about “How Anne’s feelings change toward nature before and after hiding away ?” on the worksheet. Ss are encouraged to use a dictionary if they come across any new words
T invites two pairs to share there charts and then comment to the whole class.
3rd reading
Ss read through the diary again and then in groups discuss three questions:
Why do you think her feelings changed toward nature?
Why were curtains “dirty” and windows “dusty”?
Why did Anne said “It’s no pleasure looking at nature out of the window”?

Step 3
Post-reading
Ss work in groups to prepare a press conference where Anne’s father Otto Frank is to answer questions raised by different reporters.
Reporters: come up with at least three questions regarding information about Anne’s diary and experiences.
Otto Frank: give answers by using the information from the text as well as one’s own understanding and interpretation.
Ss present their questions at a press conference with appropriate manners as a media reporter. Otto Frank answers the questions.
Ss and T together reflect and comment on performances from different aspects.
T concludes that we should love China and study harder to make our country more powerful and peaceful.
巩固并整合所学语言和内容,拓展话题内容,学生通过得体提问并理性回答,进一步加深对Anne日记的理解,师生共同探讨, 深化主题意义加强德育浸润,体现迁移创新。

T invites the class to summarize what they have learned.
T draws Ss’ attention to the importance of friends and see whether Anne’s best friend can do those things or not.

Option1: Write a report about the press conference you just attended.
Option2: Search on the internet to find more information about Anne Frank. Prepare a lecture with your group members.
