Dear …,
I am here in China. I’d like to take this opportunity to
give you a brief introduction to the Great Wall. The Great Wall, which is more than 6,000 kilometers long, is the
longest wall in the world. It has a history of more than 2,000 years. It is made of stone and bricks and almost all the construction was done by hand without any machine. As
the wall was built to defend the country against foreign invaders, there were watchtowers every few hundred
meters along the wall. Now, the Great Wall is one of the most famous places of interest in China and it attracts many visitors every year. It’s so wonderful that people often say
one who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero/ a true man.
