A linking verb is a word used to connect the subject of a sentence to further information about the state which the subject is in.What is a linking verb?

(1)形容词, 常用“How”提问

→ How is the book ? (2) 名词, 常用“what”提问

→ What is your father?(3)副词、数词、代词、介词短语、分词、动名词都可以作表语,分别表示不同的含义,提问时,要针对性强。
如: The professor is at home .?
→ Where is the professor?   The computer is? mine .?
→ Whose computer is it?
