教材分析
本单元的话题是街坊邻里。要求学生在学习本单元后可以达到在街上问路以及指路的能力，同时还可以熟练运用where特殊疑问句和there be 句型对事物所在位置的询问及描述，能运用各种方位介词描述事物的具体位置。本节课是这个单元的第一堂课。要求学生能掌握一些相关社区环境的词汇，以及there be 句型和方位介词的基本简单运用。这是一堂听说课，主要通过模拟自然环境，逐步增加信息量，让学生学会询问，回答以及用各种方位介词进行简单描述。
学情分析
初一的学生在经过一学期多的初中英语学习后有了一定的基础。孩子们的个性都很鲜明，也很活泼，自我意识很强，所以不论基础好坏的孩子们都敢于用于表达自己并希望展现自己。本课通过游戏，小组活动等设计，让孩子们都参与其中，在真实有趣的环境中学习。

Step1. Greetings and Leading in
1.The teacher greets the whole class and introduce herself.
2. PPT shows a UFO, then here comes an E.T.

利用外星人到地球寻求帮助引起学生的好奇和兴趣，便于本课新单词讲授的引出，同时贯穿于整个课堂。

2. Game Memory Challenge
PPT show a map, ask the Ss to remember the buildings on the map, and then try to speak out them.
The students stand up and speak out the buildings quickly!

Listen to 1b and finish 1b.
本环节目的是为了通过图片上外星人位置的改变来引出生词 street和 bank, hotel等。
