教材分析
本单元的话题是街坊邻里。要求学生在学习本单元后可以达到在街上问路以及指路的能力,同时还可以熟练运用where特殊疑问句和there be 句型对事物所在位置的询问及描述,能运用各种方位介词描述事物的具体位置。本节课是这个单元的第一堂课。要求学生能掌握一些相关社区环境的词汇,以及there be 句型和方位介词的基本简单运用。这是一堂听说课,主要通过模拟自然环境,逐步增加信息量,让学生学会询问,回答以及用各种方位介词进行简单描述。
学情分析
初一的学生在经过一学期多的初中英语学习后有了一定的基础。孩子们的个性都很鲜明,也很活泼,自我意识很强,所以不论基础好坏的孩子们都敢于用于表达自己并希望展现自己。本课通过游戏,小组活动等设计,让孩子们都参与其中,在真实有趣的环境中学习。

1.The teacher greets the whole class and introduce herself.
2. PPT shows a UFO, then here comes an E.T.

利用外星人到地球寻求帮助引起学生的好奇和兴趣,便于本课新单词讲授的引出,同时贯穿于整个课堂。

2. Game Memory Challenge
PPT show a map, ask the Ss to remember the buildings on the map, and then try to speak out them.
