Step 1 Lead in
Show students the sentence “In the future, all shopping will be done online.” to introduce the usage of will.
Use “will” to talk about the future.
1. will可用来表示即将发生的事情,常用于书面语和正式文告中。(prediction)例如:
Travelling in space by ordinary citizens will be common in the future.
2. 可用来表示意图,(intention)如:I will have a try.
表示“询问对方是否愿意”以及表示“客气的邀请”时,也常用will。Will you lend me a ladder?
3. 条件状语从句表示将来发生的动作或状态,主句中常用will。如:
These predictions will come true, if technology continues to develop.

be about+动词不定式结构
表示最近或马上要发生的动作,通常用句型“be about to do … when…”
be+v. ing结构
这种结构表示按计划即将发生的动作,用进行时形式表示将来的时间,但只适用于表示位置移动的动词。(an arrangement for the near future)
用一般现在时表示将来的时间(timetable)
表示根据规定或时间表上预计要发生的动作或事态。此外,在由“if , when , as soon as , until , till , after , before”等引导的条件或时间状语从句中,若主句为将来时,从句通常用一般现在时表示将来的时间。

二、将来进行时的用法

(2)表示对将来的情况或结果的预测,不表示动作正在进行。
