One possible version:
Last autumn, my parents and I made a trip to the countryside. It was far from the city and we were able to get back to nature.
After a picnic at noon, we began heading home. We were walking when we saw a huge dark cloud moving quickly in our direction. It soon became completely dark, just like what is described in the frightening tales. “Monster!” I cried loudly and ran as fast as I could. My parents told me not to panic.
A few minutes later, the sky was bright again. My parents explained to me that the dark cloud was actually large groups of migrating birds.
