Writing:Dear Jack,
I am delighted to know you are
interested in Chinese art. Now let me share my
favorite Chinese artist and his masterpieces with you.
My favorite Chinese artist is Xu Beihong, who is well known for his Chinese ink paintings of horses and birds. He went abroad to study oil painting when he was young and thus was a master of both oil and Chinese ink paintings. Most of his works are in the traditional Chinese style.
Sample writing: Among his masterpieces, I like “The Six Horses”
best. It presents six horses in defferent postures
running towards you. The horses look wonderfully alive. You may feel as if they are going to come out of the paintig and into the room! I suggest you appreciate more paintings by Xu Beihong. I'm sure you will find his paiting style really unique.
Interested in knowing more?I can find you some books!Just let me know.
Yours,
Li Hua
