The Chinese flag, sometimes called the ‘Five-starred Red Flag’, was first used in 1949, after China’s War of Liberation. Before liberation, many people in China were treated unfairly. Now, people around China live a happy life.
The colors red and yellow used on the flag are a reminder of the Liberation War. Red shows the bravery, strength and blood of the Chinese people. Yellow is said to represent the skin color of the Chinese. As we all know, the biggest star stands for the Communist Party, while the other four symbolize all walks of people in China.
