单元语法聚焦
一、英语日期表达法
1. 英语与汉语日期表达的不同
美式英语中，其表达的顺序是“月，日，年”。2018年1月1日表达为“January 1st, 2018, 读作 “January the first, two thousand and eighteen”.汉语的表达顺序是“年，月，日”。
2. 日期的表达方式
（1）在“某年、某月、某年某月”前用介词in。
in 2018在2018年 in May 在五月
in January, 2018在2018年1月
（2）在具体某一天或某一天的上午、下午或晚上用介词on。
on July 2nd 在7月2日
on the evening of May 1st 在5月1日晚上
on Wednesday morning 在周三早上
（3）在上午、下午、晚上用介词in。
in the morning/ afternoon/ evening
在上午/ 下午/ 晚上
（4）在中午、夜晚用介词at。
at noon/ night 在中午/ 夜间
3. 对日期提问用“What’s the date ”
—What’s the date today 今天几号？
—It’s July 2nd. 今天7月2日。
二、序数词
1. 含义
序数词表示事物的先后顺序（第一、第二、第三等），往往与定冠词the连用。
2. 构成
（1）“第一”至“第三”单独记忆。
first第一；second 第二；third 第三
它们的缩写形式是1st, 2nd, 3rd。
（2）“第四”至“第十九”在基数词的词尾加-th，注意“第五、第八、第九、第十二”这几个序数词的特殊变化。
fifth 第五；eighth 第八；ninth 第九；twelfth 第十二
它们的缩写形式是在阿拉伯数字后加-th。
如：fourth, fifth, eighteenth的缩写形式分别为4th, 5th, 18th.
（3）整十的序数词由基数词将y变成ie再中-th。
twentieth第二十 fortieth第四十 ninetieth第九十
（4）表示“几十几”的基数词变为序数词时只需把个位数变成序数词即可。
twenty-third 第二十三 sixty-eighth第六十八
