课件36张PPT。Basic Things We Should KnowThe 2nd Lesson:借助get ready图和对话录音，情境化地呈现了本节课的目标词汇，让学生通过看、听、标号等途径来感知并学习这些词，熟悉一些主要城市的地理位置。通过谈话帮助学生操练四个国家的四个著名城市，及其著名景点及主要标志物的词汇，并体会它们在交际情境中的应用。让学生根据语境和自己的真实情况，使用恰当的单词或短语填空。我的思考：本节课目标词汇之间的关联为国家-城市-著名景点间的对应关系，因此怎样能帮助学生更加系统化地学习词汇和短语呢？
此外，本课的信息量比较大，主要从城市、地理位置和著名景物这三个方面描述四个主要英语国家，其中位置和某一地点及景物的专有名词都是教学难点，如何分散教学难点呢？教学目标1. 能够听懂、会说 London, Toronto, Sydney, Washington. D.C., the British Museum,the CN Tower, kangaroo, the Opera House, clock等生词和短语，并尝试借助拼读规律记忆词汇。
2. 能用新学词汇和之前学过的句子 Where do you want to go this winter vocation? 和 What do you want to do there? 来谈论寒假旅行想去的地方、该地的地理位置及想做的活动。
