本单元主要内容是三名学生的自我介绍。文本类似于学校网站或橱窗，墙报中“结识新朋友”栏目中的自我介绍，有文字有照片。介绍内容是与结识新朋友有关的信息。如姓名、年龄、家乡、自己的朋友等。这些信息都是介绍者愿意公开的信息。本单元的主要语言结构是be动词与人称代词。
