Step 1 Warming up
Show some photos of animals and have a short dialogue.

Step 2 Presentation and practice
1.Show the pictures of animals and learn new words.
2.Match the words with the pictures.
3.Play a game “Who is my soulmate” to check the new words. The one who guess the word have to spell it. If he/she can spell right and pronounce correctly, he will win.
【设计意图】加强对单词的认知,设计 “Who is my soulmate”游戏既增进师生感情又在游戏中强化记忆,一举多得。
Step 3 Listening
Play the tape in Activity 3 for the first time and choose the right answers
2.Play the tape for the second time and do exercises.

Step 4 Reading
1.First, read the dialogue after the tape.
2. Ask the students to read the dialogue aloud in groups to check their pronunciation.

Step 5 Pronunciation and speaking
1.Play the tape twice and tell the students to listen and pay attention to the pronunciation and pauses. Then, play the tape once more and pause for the students to repeat.
2.Work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions aloud the animals in Activity 3.
