Step 1 Warming up
1. Revision: Show some pictures about the computer and ask the students to label the parts of the computer.
2. Free talk
Do you have a computer at home?
Do you usually use a computer?
Do you like computers?
Do you play computer games?

Step 2 Pre-Reading
Ask the students some questions:
When do you use a computer?
What do you usually do on your computer?

Step 3 Reading
1. Teach the new words and expressions in Unit 2 by PPT.
2. Ask the students to read the words and choose what they usually do on the computer.
3. Tell the students to read the three passages carefully and finish Activity 2.
4. Group work: Read the passage and match the questions in Activity 1 with the people who answer them.
【设计意图】阅读教学任务紧扣课本,让学生重视课本,爱惜课本,珍视课本。
Step 4 Practice
1. Group work: Let the students talk about what they usually do on the computer.
For example:
A: What do you usually do on the computer, Li Lei?
B: I like films, so I often see films on the computer. Sometimes I send emails to my friends.

2. Make an interview
(1)Interview a student about his opinion on computers and write down some key words.
(2)Ask the students to interview each other, or even the teachers about what they want to say about computers and write down the key words.

Step 5 Writing
1. Give an example to the students about how to use the key words to write a report.
2. Ask the students to share their reports with their partner and help to correct the mistakes with each other.
3. Ask some students to read out their reports and sum up the common mistakes.
