Step 5 Writing
1. Ask the students to talk about things they like and do.
2. Tell the students to read the passage in Activity 2, and try to write a passage about choosing presents for their family and friends. The teacher can give help when necessary.
One possible version:
My mother likes going to the cinema. I usually buy her cinema tickets or movie magazines as a present for her birthday. My father likes chocolate and I always buy him some. I also like to buy him CDs because he likes music. My grandparents don't like chocolate. They don't like watching sport but they like reading. So I often buy them interesting books. My friend's birthday is tomorrow. She doesn't like expensive clothes and she doesn't like films, either. She likes concerts. So I choose a concert ticket for her birthday.
