本模块以“My new school”为话题,重点学习存在句 There be 结构，介绍某地有某物、某物在何处以及方位，物体所属关系的表达法。Unit 2 主要通过读图及阅读的方式学习有关地点及方位名称的表达。活动1通过词汇和图片的匹配练习复习地点或场所的表达法。活动2通过读图学习介绍人或事物之间位置关系的表达。活动3、4要求短文阅读通过pair work的形式巩固表示场所的词汇并进一步复习方位的表达法。活动5、6要求通过小组活动或问答形式加深对地点及方位的理解和运用。

Step 1. Warm-up
Ss look at the pictures and answer the questions.
T: What is this building?
S: It’s a library.
T: Where is the library?
S: It’s in my school.
Step 2. New words
1.Look and say. The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the students to say as quickly as possible.
2. Label the pictures with the words and expressions from the box.

Who is he/she?
Describe one student’s location (位置) to the other students and ask them to guess who she / he is.
Step 4. Vocabulary
1.Look at the pictures and say the right prepositions and prepositional phrases.

1. Between this building and the dining hall is the classroom building with twenty-four classrooms.
这幢楼和餐厅之间是教学楼，里面有24间教室。
between是一个介词，常和and连用,构成短语between…and…，表示“在……和……之间”, 用于两者之间。

2. with也是一个介词，意思是“有”，表示一种附属关系。
Eg: My uncle has a big house with a garden.
我叔叔有一个带花园的大房子。
3. In the middle of the school a big playground.
