本模块的话题是生日，是接近学生们日常生活的话题，他们应该非常的感兴趣。过生日不仅仅是个人的行为，也反映了一定的文化特点，本单元是邀请朋友参加自己的生日聚会，内容涉及中国孩子和西方孩子如何的过生日，能让学生了解中西方之间过生日的不同，借此培养和提高学生的跨文化交际意识。

教学过程
Step 1. Warm up
1.Let students compose monologues to answer following questions.
If your birthday is tomorrow, what presents would you like? Why?
2. Look at the following pictures. Choose your birthday present.
Step 2. Vocabulary
1. Show some pictures, ask the students to look at the pictures, then talk something about the pictures.
2. Introduce the new words.
3. Read the new words.
Step 3. Work in pairs
1. Look at the pictures in Activity 1.
2. Read through the list of presents and have the students repeat them after you chorally and individually.
3. Make conversations with the new-learned words.
A: What would you like for your birthday party?

1. Play the recording.
2. Ask the students to read through the passage.
3. Match the people with what they like doing.

1. She has got 11 silk scarves, 20 shirts and a lot of shoes.
在英语中，有些名词表示由两部分构成该事物的名词。这些名词常常只用复数形式。做主语时谓语动词要用复数，表示数量时常与“数词+ pair(s) + of”搭配。
如： shoes鞋 trousers 裤子
glasses 眼镜 gloves手套
shorts短裤 scissors剪刀
chopsticks筷子
2. She spends a lot of money.
spend作动词，意为”花（钱），花费(时间)“，
一般用表示人的名词作主语。常见用法有:
★ spend + 名词 花（费）……
★ spend + 时间 / 金钱+ on sth在……上花费时间 / 金钱
★ spend + 时间 / 金钱+ (in) doing sth花费时间 / 金钱做某事
2. a lot of 相当于 lots of “许多，大量”，后面接不可数名词，相当于much 。后面接可数名词复数形式时，相当于many。
a lot of 与lots of 多用于肯定句，在否定句和疑问句中多用many或much。

go to the cinema 意为“去看电影”。
go 之后加 to 跟宾语, 可构成一些动词短语。
